A Wild Event has Appeared!

 Heeeey, StE-ers, who wants to talk about how the mafia has gotten info on over a dozen Numbered over the past seven weeks? I sure do. Let's talk consequences!

 

This here will be a plotting and questions post for things happening over the next two weeks: do you want the mafia to strike at your character in any way? They could do anything from just trying to scare them to trying to ruin their livelihood. They could even do nothing at all, and just bide their time until later! (Everything here is totally optional.)

 

Meanwhile, how did the mafia know any of this? That there sure is a mystery. Someone from the Network must have leaked! Here's the place to plot possible investigations and ask questions.

I mean, an obvious assumption is that they want numbered people to leave the area, making them no longer numbered. Alex is sufficiently craven that he would run from Las Vegas if he were directly affected, so....

Let's just say perhaps that there's an organized crime presence in Vegas already, and/or casino security is taken very seriously, and that extends to performers, so perhaps the mafia decides attacking Alex isn't worth the effort right now, and opt to bide their time.

Another option might be that Alex just moved (he got a bonus and a raise) and opted to leave a lot of his shitty furniture behind. So perhaps the mob trashes his old apartment, and Alex never finds out about it, except that his landlord won't return his security deposit and Alex is really mad, "I left that place pristine, I tell you, PRISTINE!"

Okay, I have an answer from the mods. THe Numbered are easy prey and are also being very public figures as 'hero' types, and that latter one makes them a threat that the mafia want to get rid of. The mafia will be looking to cause some low level damage, and if that damage isn't enough to make a statement, then they'd go on to an actual roughing up of the Numbered person involved.

Also those ideas sound great. The second one particularly has me grinning, because I can see him being so mad already.
