YA Book Cover Photoshoot

UPDATE: Log is up, set for IC Weekend. 

IC SIGNUPS: Maya will be releasing the news via her social media accounts, probably generating a buzz among fans, especially locally, and there will be some small newspaper ads. Alternatively, feel free to TALK TO MAYA about the shoot she mentioned in her network post! Contact the mun if you'd like to handwave it. 

PAYMENT/INCENTIVES: There will be a little bit of money (approx $15/hr? idk) in it for participants, courtesy of Maya's publishing house.

unwakingwaters  , our resident YA Fantasy author, is looking to revamp the book covers of her 5-part series, the Starheart Saga, loosely based on the story of KH: Birth by Sleep.  Details of the story and cast can be found at her post here. So naturally, being a photographer, Riku is doing the job.

if you want to and your character can meet the criteria, please let us know if you'd like to be involved in the log. :D

Plotwise, the shoots take place in a cathedral and/or a beach and will most likely feature swords/battle poses and other fantasy things, which may be echo triggery for characters. Since this is a fantasy book, I think we can assume forests/lagoons, as well. xD

Nerida - middle eastern (or close) young woman, 18-20s 
Kun - Asian young man 18-20s, well-muscled,  will probably wear a hakama 
Master Yaotl - older man, black hair, pale/sallow skin.
Prince Lagos - - Can be anyone really, but I suppose male? Would need a costume or digital enhancement. 
Master Agni - Older man, Indian (or close) 

Other support/backstage positions welcome. I have no idea but maybe a costumer/makeup artist?

Vanessa -- assistant/gopher? >.> Unconfirmed, might still be in clinic
Aquaman/Arthur - Prince Lagos

Logan Williamson - Master Yaotl
Kun - Hajime2? need muscle check
Hugo - Costumer? Unconfirmed

If nobody is interested or nobody can be found, anyone else needed will be played by NPCs. xD;

The log will probably be freestyle kinda thing, you can start threads to mingle besides the overall photoshoot. c:

So I don't think Arthur really fits the casting call for anyone in particular, but he'd totally be down for posing as Prince Lagos.

I'd also volunteer Hajime to help Riku out with some of the photography stuff, but he might still be incapacitated as a giant bug, whoops...

Actually Riku's taking his camera assistant, Van, and I'd be rather interested to see how he and Vanessa would interact since they have very similar backgrounds. xD

Shou can help out with the modeling poses and stuff, maybe lend out pieces of his cosplay stuff at as needed sort of thing, and even fill in for any character that he can fill in as. Since he can be either femmed up or made more manly.

Cosplay stuff/costumes might be welcome and maybe he can direct. :oa I was initially going to make Riku do it but he can tag-a-long as consultant + he's a fan too right?

I'm on my phone ATM or I would be spamming you with pictures of Gackt dressed up way too prettily~ but yes! He can help out with the modeling angle since he has some experiences with it. He also might get an echo about filming near the ocean especially if they do a cheesy all the cast crowd close together for a cheesy smile-off picture.

Hugo could probably be dragged into it. As much as he hates admitting to it, he doesn't mind the idea of being in costumes. He could also aid to some degree with costumes as needed since some of the stuff he sells does work well for costumes. An echo opportunity would be nice for him since he's from a fantasy canon.

Also, if she wants some magical effects, he's got that levitation ability of his even if it only works on smaller items.

She could also grab Tamara for her skills with photoshop to edit in stuff if needed.

Ah Riku will be taking care of the digital editing I think, since it's also part of his skillset and he will be... getting an echo from recreating Hollow Bastion sob. Perhaps Tamara can be involved Nerida? idk. Middle Eastern = black hair, strong brows and nose, the tan skin perhaps we can get tanning lotion on. @@

Nothing in particular since he'd not fit any of the other roles being 21, blonde haired and blue eyed. He could be a support character, or just help out in general with backdrops and costumes.

And while Tamara would be a good fit for Nerida, she's also horribly shy and hates being the center of attention at all. She'd be very tough to convince.

Hajime #2 fits that Kun description perfectly and canon has proven that he looks very good in hakama, though this is the kind of thing that would...not really occur to him to volunteer for, so I'm interested but not entirely sure how to drag him into it.

Hmn, as far as announcing, I kindaa think making an announcement on the network is frivolous given that it's not really related to the plot-- that is, echoes, monsters, etc.

So. I'm thinking maybe ads on the net and or newspaper? Is he a fan of the Starheart series? It's probably going to be announced on Maya's site, if anything. xD

Annd some muscle tone is preferred otherwise football padding needed xD

I was about to say he had that covered and then I remembered he hasn't caught up to his canon buffness yet, ahaha. Though I could probably go for his canon strength as his echo from drinking that tainted water whoops suddenly badass.

PERFECT. Ravindra is Indian and 32 years old. 'Dignified and experienced' is doable once you get his hair tamed.

Well Kanti isn't middle-eastern but if close would suffice I doubt she'd have any problems participating. She knows exactly fuck and all about modeling though, aside from sit there and look nice so someone would have to tell her what to do and they'd have to work around her job at Starbucks, so she might have to come in on the weekend.
