So as far as can be seen they're just normal rock and despite the artist and mechanic tools there's nothing to suggest how Proud actually goes about making them or where he got the rock from in the first place? And no hints in the actual carving(?) of the statues of how they work or that might be questionable like runes/out of place details/repeating patterns/stuff idk.
