Brooke, perhaps understandably, is going to do her best to not get involved with anything else and downplay her involvement in the earthquake. Sure, she couldn't have known what would happen, but that's a hundred people's lives on her head. She won't let any more people than necessary know that she was down there, but with how many people she did tell, she's not sure how well that will work out.

Even with all that, though, she won't let Danny shoulder any of the blame, because he's a kid and he doesn't need his life messed up by this. Of course, he also probably wasn't directly responsible for devastating earthquakes in his past life. Maybe Brooke's a little biased.
