Other items that they may have interacted with or assumed to have interacted with but that could not be claimed as the former possessions of any other appable characters would do excellently well - failing that, in Kavi's case, we'll interpret the cloak as an innocuous thing enough on its own that only the reincarnations of his followers (Maggie and Davin of course) would be likely to Echo off it, and would be fine to do so as an exception!
