Shiro didn't talk to the media or anything like that. For the most part he tried to avoid being seen or talking to anyone. But when you're wielding a five foot sword and firing off huge black crescents of energy, it's hard to miss. He was caught on a few television cameras doing that, and a few cellphone cameras as well. Because no matter how crazy things get, someone will always be there to take cellphone videos.

As such he kind of got popular on youtube as "a real life anime guy". He never showed his face on video thanks to his mask so his secret is still somewhat safe. But if someone asks, he won't deny it anymore. He can't because of his voice.
