My PC has begun acting strangely and has reached a point where I can't predict whether it will work or shut down without warning. So! I'm sending it in to the manufacturer before I snap. Hopefully I'll be back soon, but until then tags may be really sporadic.

Hey guys, new player here! I'm Steph and I'm bringing to you Naomi Kimishima of the Trauma Center games, who is at different and not mutually exclusive points in her life a surgeon, a terrorist, a medical examiner/basically a detective, and a mom. Also there are magic powers involved (healing patients and inexplicably hearing dead people, and I swear these two are mutually exclusive) because Trauma Center is that kind of series.

She's now reincarnated as Naomi Kaufman, a chemist working at a forensic lab who's recently moved to Locke City. There's some other stuff going on with her history, like being briefly involved with a gang when she was younger and taking care of her dead friends' kid, but she's trying not to make a big deal (or any deal) of that while she's here. Her info post is over this way for those interested, and I'm going to say straight out that Naomi here is more open to making friends than her previous life was so playing her here is going to be interesting and I'd really love to see how she does in this game!

Last, I have a HMD/contact post here and can be otherwise contacted through PMs and my plurk, [plurk.com profile] elemental_shark. I'm looking forward to playing here, and I'll hopefully be introing tonight tomorrow because I didn't expect such a friendly reception!

Hey everyone! Character applications: we need help reading and processing them! Do you think you have what it takes?!

We're looking for a couple more people to help us out, so if you're interested, please take the time to fill out the form below. App mods will be integrated into the current system and given access to the mod email account. Apps are voted on by use of Yes/No labels and discussion in the drafts if necessary. Two Yes votes without any noticeable issues (with at least one vote being from one of the main mods) = ACCEPTANCE. One or more No/revisions-needed votes = rejection or revision request.

App mods may be required to draft revision requests on an as-needed basis and, ideally, be willing to work with potential players to reach an acceptable state for their characters to enter the game. While we're not going to make any restrictions here based on how long you've been around, familiarity with the setting and general state of events is required - as well as, obviously, the ability to judge writing in general and single out problems with an app even if you're not entirely familiar with its canon.

We'll start looking over potential recruits in a few days to a week, so hop to it! Comments are screened.

Name:
Preferred Contact:
Character(s):

What are your qualifications?: Past experience with reading/judging apps and/or other forms of writing, the kind of canons you're familiar with, etc. Anything you think might help out here.

How comfortable are you with the Echoes system? While this isn't as important, due to the case-by-case nature of Echoes, it helps if you have a decent grasp on what will fly as an approved Echo and what definitely won't.

During what time of day/which days of the week would you be available?: We're not looking for a commitment of hours a day or anything, but you should at least be able to consistently spend a few minutes every other day or so at minimum to be considered.

Anything else?: Any questions or pertinent information not included above.

Hey kids,
guess who's received an unexpected break from his traveling work. After both Otakon and San Japan, I had my third con this month yanked out from under me. Kinda sucks, but at least that means I have some actual downtime.

It's kinda sad when I have to make posts for when I'm active as opposed to just hiatus notices.

Anyway, I'm back in town until 8/29, then I ship out for Anime Fest in Dallas. I know I said I'd try to tag while I'm out working, but trying to write a tag on a netbook keyboard is nigh impossible with my fingers. On a plus side, once I get my money in order, I'm eyeing an actual notebook with a keyboard I can type on. So hopefully, this 'll become less of an issue.

So I'm gonna try to get caught up on some stuff while here and toss up a log.

If I owe you a tag or need to tag a thread started, please tell me here.

And for all the new kids that joined between Otakon and now, welcome aboard and I look forward to threading with you guys!
