first, what elevation is the Vegas strip at now, and how is the weather different? I'm assuming it will be somewhat cooler during the day and a lot cooler at night, like at Lake Tahoe, for instance.
second, and more importantly, there's a major disaster going on in the flooded areas obviously, but what about the strip? Are there drivable roads leading up the mountain from ground level? if not, how will food and supplies be delivered, tourists ferried back and forth, etc.? are hotels trying to operate in terms of business as usual or are most attractions and so forth shut down?
