Dropped characters can indeed be brought back for the event, just as if they were coming off hiatus/being reapped. So he would regain all his echoes and simply start again where he left off.

(An Aaron-specific note, the LSR Clinic is currently in unnumbered, yet allied hands, and has been ever since Mordin dropped a while ago. It should still be around and relatively unchanged otherwise.)
