Yeah, this is an aspect of the new game that the mod team will need to figure out, given that it poses a very real possibility for players to have unfair advantages over other players. What I'm thinking is that I'll want to implement a special app for incoming or existing characters detailing their plans for their "megacorp", capital and connections, how they obtained (or plan to) obtain it, and most importantly, how it will involve other players, since that's a crucial aspect of any RPG. As the point of this setting is to challenge superpowered players who get to keep their echoes, I'm wary to greenlight anything that entails this level of in-game power and influence at this very early point.
