So, Nick here, figuring I oughta toss this out for discussion and/or planning with megacorps getting mentioned and all.

So back around the start of season 2 I had the idea of playing this guy reincarnated as "Anton Keldek", the head of an international conglomerate consisting of various tech corporations, weapons manufacturers and private military companies. Super shady, horribly unethical business practices and all. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out for a few reasons, at least one of which was never really finding a place to insert him into STE's plot. However! For a sequel in a semi post-apocalypse I think he can fit right in.

The idea I'm figuring is that Keldek would have been a Numbered for some time before the invasion but chose to observe while amassing Echoes ranging from Skeletor's appearance and magical abilities to knowledge of Eternian technology. He'd have put it to good use in the invasion but rather than help on a global scale, he took advantage of the chaos to sort of carve out his own sort of megacity-state somewhere.

The result would be a self-governing highly authoritarian and militarized society in the middle of the new Earth. A status he maintains with a combination of bribes, "shows of good will" like support and technology, and the simple virtue of worldwide militaries being weakened by the fighting to the point that nobody really wants to take him on.

At the start, he'll be fairly cordial and willing to work with governments to reestablish global communications and rebuild infrastructure. Under the radar, however, he'll be attempting to gather power. Both by recruiting new and old Numbered who can be swayed by a hunger for power and by harvesting microbes that he'll be breeding in stressed environments to produce bio-weapons.

The intention of all this would be to provide an antagonist with a "face" for the new game, both for the Numbered and any microbe characters who may end up leaning toward the light side. It'll also give anybody wanting to play a villain a home base to work from as well as resources and support they might not have had going up against a group consisting pretty much exclusively of heroes. A PC-run quirky miniboss squad, if you will. Naturally this will likely all lead up to a final confrontation that I do pretty much expect him to lose, being the villain of the story and all.

That's... pretty much the nutshell of my idea here. Just figured I ought to put it out there. I'm open to any plotting and tweaking to it, either here or over Plurk or other contact!
