+1 tragic JPRG antagonist
Hello, I am Carmen and I'm completely new to this game! Nice to meet all of you! Today I bring you a character from an obscure Dreamcast-to-Gamecube game called Skies of Arcadia. My unending adoration for anyone who knows what that game is. If you don't, then all you need to know is that it takes every RPG cliche you can think of and makes them awesome.
Also air pirates. And airships. And lots of exploring.
This is Ramirez, who serves as your standard white-haired villain of the game + bonus tragic backstory. He was once a nice kid that lived on the moon and then he started working for Sky!Europe at the height of its conquering days and it just sort of went downhill from there. After some unfortunate incidents he decides he decides it's better off for entire world if they're subjugated under one ruler and then starts doing whatever he can to make it a reality. In a twist, the world ruler he envisions is not, in fact, himself, but someone completely different that he is unhealthily attached to.
Yeah. Lots of issues there, and luckily he'll have some time to adjust before he comes face-to-face with all of them. In Locke City, he's just a normal 19-year-old college student with an Engineering major and goes by the name of Roy Sellers. He's pretty well-adjusted, barring the fact that his father died when he was 10 and he didn't take his mother's remarriage very well. Overall, Roy a lot more like Ramirez's initial personality (for now), so he'll be quite pleasant and helpful to most people even if he does have a bit of a temper sometimes. Just ask his stepdad about that.
His info post is here and I can be reached at
rikachai or on AIM at Penguininator. I'm excited to play with all of you!

I'm Joc and I'm new to StE as well. I play an original character known as Sandrath, a 'fallen arch-angel' by his world's terms -- but better known in the game as Xander Jarle. I can be reached at
I look forward to playing with you.

Hello! I think you were actually the app up above mine, hahaha. I'm glad we both got in! Hopefully we'll get to thread or something too!
no subject
Nice to meet you! I actually used to play Rose once upon a time and I...have Mass Effect but the first game's battle system does not agree with me which I hear is common. I need to beat it one of these days.
NEVERTHELESS I am excited to see Roxy and Mordin and I hope we get an excuse to thread at some point!

I was and it's funny how that turns out! There most likely will be a chance!

Ramirez sadly has no angelic qualities but he did live on the moon and study his world with a bunch of people who liked to think they were gods that's close enough right.
no subject
That's totally okay. If anything, that'll just perk his interest when he learns of that bit of information. Then again, he tends to mock beings who think they are 'gods'.

Things didn't go so well to say the least.

especially during his horrible teenage years

Engineering major, you say? I happen to have Dr. Benjamin Ratchet here, who used to be a giant robot from the Transformers films and is now a professor at Locke University, teaching classes in engineering. Would you be interested in having Roy be in one of classes?
no subject
Either way, seeing your professor on the same network? Still awkward. I'm all for it.

I'm Blue, player of Anthony from Eternal Darkness, a messenger boy in the Holy Roman Empire turned zombie whose reincarnation is a somewhat uptight and goody-goody fifteen-year-old student also turning somewhat zombie; and Rarity from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, unicorn fashionista reincarnated to the life of a hornless pet pony named Cinderella.
Pleasure to meet you and I shall look forward to playing with you, and may you have a lovely time here!

I hope I get to thread with you soon!

The second is Toph Beifong from Avatar, reincarnated as Sophie Bai, 13-year-old middle school student. She's sort of blunt and snarky still, but also is more polite and willing to work with people/ask for help in her current incarnation, partly because her family support system is a lot more awesome and less overprotective. She's still blind, and has a cane and a lack of seeing feet at the moment.
I LOVE SKIES OF ARCADIA A LOT. <3

I mean. Hello, Lucy, it's nice to meet you! I love both of those characters a lot so I hope I'll get to thread with you one of these days! Roy could use some nice girls in his life.

Welcome to the game!

Roy is often dragged around on irresponsible adventures and he also likes fast cars, how lovely.

Shou's car is nicknamed the sparkling orange juice box and he rides around all times of day and night in it.

I'm Awe, and this is Mir from Ar tonelico. She's also an antagonist with bonus tragic backstory, but she actually survives the ending and goes on to appear in a sequel since she was out of her right mind at the time.
Here, though, she's Miranda Atmiller, graduate CS student. Kind of a loner and a little trollish, really.
no subject
Anyway, game enabling aside, it's nice to meet you! I've heard of Ar Tonelico even though I've never played any of the games and Jacqli always seemed interesting.
And what luck Roy here is absolute trollbait she must say hello.
no subject
Yes, I look forward to doing this trolling. It will be glorious.

Literally every ten seconds. I'm not exaggerating. Ask anyone. Skies of Arcadia has one of the worst random encounter rates ever.
AND YES, EXCELLENT. I always endorse people giving him a hard time.
no subject
I'll read that at some point, I'm sure.
