BLOOD KEY RUMORS

Hey guys! I've been getting a LOT of people who have been mentioning that they'd like some rumors about their characters floating around the Keys, which is a-o-good with me! I feel like having a repository of rumors/info floating around the various Key squads would be prudent with the amounts of information I'm getting since there is more than one Network Key (looking at you, Jesús) and the information should be readily available to them as well. I was thinking about uploading it to a Google doc or something. No real promises because lbr how long are the Keys gonna stay alive anyway, but I'd like to at least get this all down in the same place. :)b

Generally, even though they haven't settled on a united, "official" name, I assume that the Keys are calling the network people weirdos, the weird ones, crazies, or aggros. (If anyone's got better ideas for names please let me know sobbing) Feel free to assume that one of those names got thrown at your characters in a tussle!

THIS IS WHAT I'VE GOT SO FAR:
- SHOU: Bunch of Keys got kneecapped by an incredibly good shot one night; only injuries, no fatalities. The perpetrator was a Japanese guy with braids in his hair, but no one knows who he is. If any of the Keys hang out with the right people - aka a couple drug dealers connected to Italians or yakuza - they can learn that the guy is called Shobiz. He's flashy, has money obviously, tends to not buy himself but acts like a voice of reason for the person doing the actual buying and is a generally nice guy unless someone pushes him into a temper and then he has some really badass moves and is fast too GDIT. link to more rep notes for shou!
- HAJIME: BUGMAN?? There's a squad that swears up and down that they were trying to rob a couple of guys and this bug came out of nowhere and broke a Key's arm. Jesus Christ. (ALSO THAT DEADSHOT DUDE WAS WITH HIM MAYBE??? why does this keep happening)
- JAKE: KEYS BE WARNED: there is a weird one who just. Doesn't go down. No matter how much you punch him.
- JIN: There's some dude with a laser gun who's dangerous? Rumor is that he's only dangerous because he doesn't know how to use it LAFF... idk what badass means im gomen :(
- LUKE: THAT - KEY - IS - ON - FIYAAAAAAH. Every Key has heard of this one, although the amount of details on the death is up in the air. The same kid strikes again with a huge cartoony bomb that incapacitated an entire squad of Keys. DOES THE HORROR EVER STOP?
- REIMU: So there was that one squad who got taken out by a girl who used balls of light and strange Japanese?? Or something?? Unsure, they were all singed and mildly concussed and no one on the squad even remembers her face.
- PRECURES: There is a literal superhero team in bright clothing fucking up our robberies. What the hell.
- LYALL: Not necessarily about him, but his house; most Keys avoid robbing around Lyall's place not only because it's in a nicer area and it's not really Key territory, but wild dog noises come from there every once in a while and ain't nobody got time for that.
- GERALD: SHIT IT'S THE FEDS
- CHRIS STARSKY/THE LSR CLINIC: Ever since the debacle concerning the two Keys who got murdered by Chris (gender and identity unknown, voice and cybernetics VERY KNOWN), which led to the attack on the Clinic that no one came back from, the Keys are pretty hesitant to come back for more. It's a wound in their reputation, and not one they're particularly happy about... Maggie was present during the attack, and was tussling with some more Keys beforehand, so her face may be familiar to some Keys!
- TERRORIST MIND CONTROL KIDS? (Alan, Octavia, and Walter): So for a while in December those terrorist teenagers from the news went around stealing guns from the Keys by using some kind of spooky mind control powers! When the Keys ambushed them (and some other kid?) the boy did some kind of weird explosion thing. It might have been a smoke bomb, but there was a bright flash of light with it too, and some claim there was a weird meaty thing??? Anyway, what happened next is a little unclear - one of the Keys was killed and the kids ran off, but they can't have made it far since all three had been shot.
- SAM MIDDLETON: Don't forget the time Sam broke both of a Blood Key's arms, literally kicked him across the street, and took a knife to the stomach without really reacting to it. (As happened here.)
- JEFFREY & DANIEL & ELLY: These three ran into a squad of Keys a few days before Christmas. Nobody wound up seriously hurt, mostly because Jeffrey convinced the other two to get the hell out of there after they threw the Keys around a little bit. So one Key got punched out by some tough guy whose fists were glowing purple while he did it. One got thrown back by some chick throwing an energy ball or something. And the other got tossed back like nothing by some really skinny guy who has no business being capable of that kind of strength. As per the events in this log.
- REILANIN: Mid-December. Full moon. Real goddamn werewolf. The description of the werewolf before her transformation will resemble Reilanin, but only as much as you could identify a serious looking chick with a nice face and a British accent before getting terrified out of your skin by REAL GODDAMN WEREWOLF!! Out of the three guys that were that, two of them got totally trashed, one of which is still, to this day, undergoing reconstructive surgery. The last one swears up and down that the entire story is true.
- SOREN & ANNIKA: Just before Christmas, two kids bundled up really thoroughly telekinesised their way out of a robbery. Like, their stuff was floating in midair. Wild. Also, all of the Keys present got knocked out, stories vary about how that happened.
- ROBERT: And then there's this asshole! Some guy got close enough to the main hideout to spy on it for a little. The Keys shot him, and the Key that did it swears up and down that he got the guy right in the back... But he kept running? These aggros are no joke, guys.
- RAVINDRA & XANDER: An advisory for all squads to start grouping in threes or bigger goes out after a Key comes in and reports that a guy overpowered her partner and killed him without any obvious help or remorse. She is too shaken up to give more than a vague description of both men, but she does claim that they appeared to know each other, confirming that whoever these people are, they're connected somehow. Of course, since this is a street gang, it's not as much as an advisory as it is kind of vague advice and not many are going to take it seriously...
- KOTETSU: A Key in Hellbird's squad is warning about an aggro with super-strength is going around trying to rescue victims. The catch? He's pretty sure he's an honest to god cop.
- MICHELLE, WHEATLEY, AND ZOMBIE?? (anthony): if anyone sees a pretty girl running around with a weedy ginger guy in the dead district they are on immediate shitlist basis for not paying up and for throwing junk at the Keys when told to. IMMEDIATE SHITLIST BASIS. (Also there was a zombie there. ??)
- CHUCK'S RUMORS: we have a rogue network key leaking info guys! There's one rumor about the police being modified somehow! They're superpowered, but no one in the Keys can tell if it's aggro bullshit or something the police are up to. He also warned the Key's about Gavin and Luke's little massacre, but only time will tell if that did any good. (... did... it...)

(Then again, they might not be in his neighborhood much. He does live in a kind of nicer part of town.)

Idk if it's a rumor, but since no Key who went along to the attack on the LSR clinic was ever seen again (they were all killed. And their bodies burned.) that's... might be a place to avoid.

Since it hasn't been hit again in retribution, idk, maybe most Keys wanted it to be left alone and there's an element of "yeah those idiots got what was coming to them" if that disaster's brought up.

Chris jumped three Keys with the intent of just scaring them a bit and getting back the stuff stolen from her uncle; unfortunately, her Decepticon side kicked in and she ended up brutally murdering two of them.

One of them escaped and told the others; he may not have participated in the clinic attack, but that's what set it off, because she fled there.

As for her voice, she literally sounds like Starscream from the TV show, so while it's higher pitched than a male voice, she's so damn screechy it's hard to tell if she's female or just horrible.

Ah, back in mid-December, while Reilanin was out looking for Alexander around the DD, she got accosted by some Blood Keys. Unfortunately it was on the evening of the full moon and she changed on them and there was some werewolf-on-Blood Key tussling.

I've got a log going with Alexander that leaves it kind of vague as to what happened- she wouldn't remember it very well or want to remember it well so she isn't sure what happened either- how many or if anyone died. One or two definitely got crunched, however.

I-if you want to sort it out a little more here that's cool, I didn't get a chance to do much since I had to hiatus just when it was supposed to happen... :[

but before I left to Canada I went over a thing with the mods and made a post with Robert basically stating that he'd snuck a peek on the Key's hide out from the roofs around it before being found out and bolting. This in itself is probably not a big deal aside from the fact that he took a bullet to the spine and kept running like it was nothing, so that might be a thing they noticed.

Maggie was over in the clinic when they attacked. She had gone there shortly after a different attack in which she managed to knock some out with Alexa so her face might be familiar.

It wasn't really a card per-say. What the squad would remember is crazy rainbow colored balls of light coming out of her after she made a weird gesture and said something weird in Japanese and chasing them down and/or knocking them out. Also they wouldn't have seen her face as a reminder, though you didn't exactly mention that.

Oooh, that's really cool! I'll go ahead and add that to the entry, making sure that we all know that we need to establish that we've spoken to the Keys that would know that kind of information - finding the right kinds of people will take a little time! (well, maybe less now that you guys have shaved the keys down by so much, haha... ha....)

okay i'm getting to this late BUT just before christmas (12/20) soren and his little sister annika (fridayisyellow) encountered some blood keys and soren decided to steal their things BACK from them which involved telekinetically snatching their stuff back and also stealing their guns and knocking them out. :T because he's a smart kid!

anyways so yes they were of course just a couple kids all bundled up in coats and he had shades on too so their descriptions probably aren't too detailed but yeah that is totally a thing that occurred.

Luke recently added to his reputation probably by pulling a cartoonishly large bomb seemingly out of nowhere and throwing it at a group of blood keys.

Also probably he'll be notorious for accompanying the gun crazy cannibal on his murder spree, but we should probably wait to see how that pans out before we add anything official.

Not "rumors about crazy powers" tier, but maybe more "going to be in so much deep shit if they Key territory again": Michelle and Wheatley ran into a squad of Keys last month and had the gall to pretend they were handing over their stuff before throwing a bunch of crap in the guys' faces and running for it.

Also there was an actual damn zombie behind them but there's nothing weird about that, right? :Db

Chuck is spreading rumors amongst the Keys that there are, in fact, cops with superpowers! He hasn't said anything about the source of them, or stated any connection between the other weirdos with powers, though.

(Also of course he warned the Keys about the massacre that was going to happen, hopefully a few hours ahead of time.)
