Yes. Hi. This is Surge again. The person who plays the tall indian girl who is actually an alien vampire. I am bringing you Robot from Gunnerkrigg Court. Excellent comic. Excellent read. Much feelings. Go check it out.

In canon, Robot is kind of a creepy/sweet Court robot who has been modified by extended time in actually friendly proximity of two people who treat him like he is not really all that different from a human being, and a shadow creature he is pretty much totally dating. On his off hours, he talks about how one of those two people it totally an angel, forces the rest of his kind to confront how little they know about themselves and their history, and preaches about both of those things, much to the concern of the aforementioned shadow creature. He also stalks everyone he cares about because Court robots are kind of dumb when it comes to personal space and boundaries.

A N Y way, Robot has been reincarnated as Robert Holloway, a homeless parkour enthusiast who basically ditched living in his aunt's house and ran as far away as he could possibly get to Locke City. He lives on the streets, sleeps on other people's couches, and earns cash via jobs that reward those who don't ask a lot of questions or by simply taking it from people who aren't paying enough attention. Sometimes he drops by soup kitchens or into the community college to eat food given to students during those voluntary attendance lectures your professor makes you go to for extra credit. If your character would be familiar with thieves, parkour dorks, homeless people, or people who go to the community college to eat free food, then chances are they know of or have seen Robert hanging around and trying hard not to be noticed.

Julien works at the semi-charity clinic, LSR, and he's pretty friendly, so if Robert's ever had to go in that's possible.

We could say he's gone in for a sprain before, and all the check-ups that go along with those kinds of things! And he'll probably have to go in again, based on the way I worked his intro.

Since Blaine lived on the street for three years and is still in touch with that world to a fairly high degree, and since she does have a room he might have crashed on her couch before in return for helping with something or whatever, she isn't altruistic enough to have him let use it for nothing in return.

As long as that thing didn't involve high contact with cops or like... stabbing a dude, he probably would have done it and would do it in the future. A give and take mentality is something he's pretty familiar with, and if Blaine and him know each other to a fairly good degree in that they saw each other a lot, he probably wouldn't have a problem doing shit for her if it meant a sweet couch to sleep on.

I have no exact ideas regarding what it would involve, but I's assume something like watching places or people, or courier or messenger jobs. Stuff that requires time and not being herself. Totally up to it being something else, though.

Butttt then let's call that a deal?

How long has Rob been in the city, if it's not longer than one or two years Blaine could have been one of his contacts when he first arrived, because she would be on the lookout for people that can be useful to her without that usefulness costing her much, and letting someone crash on her couch sometimes is not much and disoriented newcomers are easier to make useful for yourself than established people...

He's been here for around a year since he booked it up here last fall, and as long as it's courier and watching work then yeah w/e he'd take a nap on her couch and maybe a meal at the least because who even cares? Not Rob.

OMG Robot :D I have been tempted from time to time to play Zimmy, but given her lack of concrete background decided against it. Good to see people playing from the comic :3 It's marvelous.
