Dog-catching!

So in this post, Kotetsu had the idea of capturing a sniffer dog to see if they could discover how/why they're able to sense numbereds

The prevailing idea at the moment seems to be Octavia (drama8om8) mind-controlling one of the handlers to drop their dog off somewhere.

SO. Things we would conceivably need for this plan:

-A "safe" drop-off location somewhere out of the way

-Someone to receive said dog and who could restrain it/take it to somewhere where science-y things can be done

-Backup in case things go terribly wrong

-People to do SCIENCE

-Distractions so people don't get suspicious about where the dog handler is randomly going by themselves and to cover their trail as they go to the drop-off point

ALSO apparently Mordin is in possession of some hellhound-blood from the Halloween party? So maybe that'd be useful somewhere in the scienceing.

I'm thinking all this would go down sometime after the drug bust plot? Once we come up with a gameplan, we can ask the mods how it would go and take it from there in putting up logs/posts ic!

EDIT: So here's what we've got so far!

-Ray and Dians are on distraction

-Octavia is mind-controlling a handler, which she needs a picture or video or something of (I'm thinking Kotetsu can most easily provide this unless another network cop wants to!)

-Shiro is receiving the dog (at some location still to be decided)

-Suzaku is providing a basement for SCIENCEing

-The Luteces are our scientists! Totally still open to more scientists tho

Ray can be a distraction somehow, he's good at making loud noises. Or whatever.

Dians are awful at most things except distractions. They are GOOD at distracting peeps.

Shiro can take the dog! he's more than capable of restraining a beagle sized doggie. And he won't kill it... until they're done with it ;D

If the sniffydog handlers are armed Tavia will be getting the one in question to dump his gun too, jsyk

She will then make a very convincing argument that she should be able to keep the gun, which will go along the lines of "BUT I WANNNTTTT IIITTTTTT" delivered at increasingly-loud volumes

What were you thinking in terms of the science aspect?

I can't give a biologist but the twins have likely dabbled in biophysics at some point.

If they need lab equipment or a place to work, Suzaku can help with that part. He won't let anybody into his godfather's lab but he'll haul its contents into a spare room as needed.

i realize i'm fairly late to the party but there's that. also, he can neuroshock the dog into submission if shiro can't handle it.

as for the hellhound blood, it turned out to be completely useless. i contacted the mods and they told me that mordin would be unable to discover anything except that it has a slightly lower cell count than usual.
