Hey guys, this is Gilbert (player of

vaimo / Åsa / Finland) bringing in a second character.

Glorfindel was originally an elf from Middle-earth, where he already did the dying and coming back thing, although with his memories intact that time. He was killed by a balrog the first time, and he came back to hang out with Elrond and do all the world saving stuff in the Lord of the Rings although someone thought that his role in saving Frodo at the Fords of Bruinen would be better replaced by Arwen. ~~Next they'll be saying that the Hobbit is a dickfest and needs some ladies in too!~~

Reincarnated, he's a 50ish Londoner who was a model in his twenties. These days he's better known as a charity campaigner, and he works at the university a few days a week as a botany lecturer at the uni. His playby is much younger than he is because ~~I found one for Glorfindel and I'm lazy~~ his first echo is starting to slowly deage him, although it's going to take a while younger until it's noticeable. There's obviously some potential for previous CR with his background and I'm completely up for that, so feel free to shout at me if you want to set something up! I'm still on plurk under

You think maybe we could consider the test drive thread Julien had with Gabriel "canon", at least in broad strokes? They met and talked about Elvish and birds?

I'd love to keep it canon, but I threw around things that I don't know when he'll get (elvish in particular) because I was still working things out with him. But I'm up for them having met and talked about pigeons maybe? Or we could start another thread!

aaah, right, I didn't pick up on that. |D I do think it might be interesting if hearing Julien was the first time Gabriel heard Elvish, and that could be played out. Do you want that? We could handwave that they met and talked about birds a while ago, with or without bringing up the network. If you'd like Julien has an open log which spans the week.

That sounds like a plan! Gabriel would potentially be able to echo elvish off Julien that way too. Gabriel's been lurking on the network without posting since the earthquake so I think if we play it so they didn't bring it up when they first met? I'll hit you up on the open log when I get home from work.

I think that's a reasonable echo-cause! Sounds good to me.
