Hello StE!

This is Jack, who plays Daylen Amell (persuaderoll) bringing you... a warlock!

It's almost as if I have a thing for magic users.

This is Merlin, from the BBC series he shares a name with, although here he will be known as Emery Griffiths. He attends LCU studying communication and linguistics and in his spare time works a bunch of barista jobs. He's moved here from London (where he moved from Wales originally) so is still very British.

He's also clumsy, prone to terrible jokes, a bit day-dreamy but very chatty and kind.

If anyone wants to set up established CR or plan something I am very much an open book!

Barista in what kind of places? Blaine has worked in bars and clubs and similar places as security for about two years now, even though she had to leave that line of work due to echoes... last week. So they may have met there at some point?

It's certainly possible he got bar work once or twice! Probably in more laid back places, you know, where he wouldn't generally upset people by being a bit... him and teasing/flirting with everyone regardless of gender

As long as it's not some upper crust super expensive place, that would work with her. Something like 'they've seen each other before and maybe talked when things were quiet, so they'd recognize each other but not more'?

I doubt any crazy expensive upper crust places would hire a slightly clumsy student anyway. So yes that works! He probably chatted at her a lot about everything under the sun.

Yes this works perfectly. She's kind of a jerk and a troll but would also have listened and probably have made acceptable company as long as things were slow/there were no trouble.

Julien was friends with the previous Merlin. I guess he will conveniently forget the similarities here. |D Julien's deeply social, meets a lot of people, and almost never feels awkward about anything - he's not in college, but he's got lots of friends who are.

Yeah it's probably easier to forget the other one. They can be friends all over again though!

I'm not canon familiar with Merlin aside from what I've picked up from existing in the same places as it, but if you're up for pre-cr Gabriel's a Londoner relocated to Locke as well. He lectures at the uni in botany so Emery wouldn't be in his classes, but I'm happy for him to be involved with gathering all the brit students/teachers every now and again for complaining about America tea and crumpets and watching the football and that sort of thing. I can't imagine that it'd be close CR but Gabriel is the sort to keep an eye on people if he has the slightest excuse.

He was born there, and spent most of his life there, aside from trips abroad for work and such like.

Ah, I meant like -- Merlin would have been in secondary school, so they need a reason to have known each other! Was he teaching then too, or would it have to be something else (family friend in some way, etc?)

I meant that Gabriel would have set up some sort of not quite society, but a group at least for British students at Locke. I'm assuming that there'd be more than just the two of them. So it would be CR from when he started at the uni rather than carried over from the UK.

But yes! It's probably a once a week/once every two weeks thing and Gabriel would also be around for the students if they need any help with adjusting too so they'd know each other by name at least?

Merlin is obnoxiously friendly and chipper so it'd be easy to know his name and probably about half his life story to be honest

If you wouldn't mind some pre-established CR, Kei is a street busker, he could easily play infront/near one of the coffee shops and poke his head in occasionally to grab some java, yes?

Absolutely! Merlin might bring him out coffee during breaks/quiet periods too and chat

Also if one of Merlin's Barista jobs is at an organic free-trade coffee shop, Teagan will be a frequent customer.

Yes he's great, it's all right you can say it he doesn't mind.

And of course, why not! He can chat away to him calmly and ignore his ice princess -- introversion. Since, you know, Merlin doesn't particularly mind if he wants to sit there quietly and just nod.
