Just one more
Reg here again, just flying through to introduce you to my second character, Patrick Jane from CBS's The Mentalist. For those who don't know the series, it's a bit like Psych, only Patrick is bitter, twisted and cynical, and hatefully focused on revenge for the murder of his wife and daughter. Most parts con man with a little bit of stage magician mixed in, Patrick worked with the CBI to solve crimes, and ultimately to find the man who stole his life from him.
He's been reincarnated as Terry James, who unlike Jane isn't a cynic, but a science fiction author from New Mexico, who has a passion for everything supernatural, and is especially fond of the extraterrestrial. He's just moved to the city chasing these tall tales. Rachel here is an up and coming horror+dark fantasy author who's only pretty recently started receiving mainstream attention, but she's been known in SF/F fandom circles for at least a few years. She'd all but certainly know of Terry. If you like, it's entirely possible they've met? Worldcon or something.

Meeting is all good! He would have been jetlagged but cheerful, and promoting whatever book he had out that year like an old pro.
And so looking forward to building more CR because between the author bit and Raven and her powers vs him recovering his cynicism, it's going to be quite the clash, I love it.
