In the early morning of Tuesday, the 19 of November, there was a shooting in the harbor area of Locke City after police had been tipped off by a mole about a major shipment of cocaine coming in at that time and location.

In short, two policemen (an NPC and Angela Roth von_uberwolf) and five criminals were killed or died of their wounds over the course of the next week, though a few other criminals, among them Blaine Frost siesinddasessen could escape. A few arrests were later made in connection with the shooting, though not everyone could be identified.

Below is a rundown of the information that could be found on the normal, local, off-network news, TV, radio and newspapers alike, over the course of the two weeks after the shooting. An IC post from the evening news with the first showcasing of a recognizable picture of Angela will be posted tonight.

Update to Rules/Policy and Tagging System

The StE modteam would like to announce two new changes to rules/policy.

First, as per player suggestion, we are introducing three new tags to the main community at savetheearth: !open, #network, and #action, for post navigation and organization's sake. From here on out, posts are to be tagged according to type as applicable, and we will work through old posts to put type tags into place - although any assistance to speed this effort along will be greatly appreciated!

Second, as the ability to play within, respond to, and follow the game's plot is important for all players and characters under their control, we wish to explicitly remind everyone that all players must remain flexible and willing to fairly accommodate, cooperate with, and coordinate with other players and with us as the mods in plotting, and have updated the Rules page accordingly. If ever you encounter difficulties in playing due to difficulty reaching compromise with another player, or if you have any other concerns you'd like to bring to our attention, please contact us on the Mod Contact page - comments are screened, and anonymous commenting is enabled.

HEY THERE FOLKS.

My name is Ace and I'm bringing you the one, the only, reality bending super star HARUHI SUZUMIYA.


I know I know, I can barely contain myself.

Anyway a couple of heads up, Haruhi does NOT currently have her ability. She will not get her ability for a long time, and probably never have it full force. I will not do anything with her powers without first getting permission from anybody involved. That being said, if you have any fun ideas for it, let me know, I'm always up for SHENANIGANS.

Second, Haruhi is not Japanese in this incarnation. I did this because I am not a POC having to grow up in an urban environment, I don't know about the struggles POC face on a daily basis and I was worried that attempting to act as though I did would be offensive. I might have her echo Japanese at some point, but I'm not sure if that would be offensive either so. Yeah. Any comments on things of that nature are welcome, the last thing I want to do is offend or make anybody uncomfortable.

FINALLY, in her canon Haruhi is around 16. Hear she is eleven. I don't have younger icons for her, so I will be using her 16 year old icons until I can acquire some, but please no, she is not in fact 16.

I hate doing this with so many things happening, but I have severely underestimated the chaos of the holidays and work is taking over my life a little more than expected. So I'm going to have to call a hiatus until the end of the holidays. Sorry for all my random slow lately. I'll still tag back to threads I'm already involved with but just... slowly.

Jake's gonna be out of town during most of the holidays, so he won't be around either.

Meet Holly Avalon, or in her past life Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura. She's from the manga and using TRC icons for accurate age but otherwise she'll be getting all CCS echos. Frilly dresses, random Sakura cards, who knows!

Holly goes to Locke City Middle School and is on the track team, she's super friendly and has lived in the city all her life. I hope to have a lot of fun with her.
