Grand Opening OOC Post

Hello, everyone and welcome to Save the Earth!

I'm extremely excited to say that our game will officially be opening on April 1st. I deeply hope you're all classy enough to avoid making fake drop posts on the first day.

The reason for the short delay in opening is simply because I'm spending Sunday with family (as I'm sure some of you will be too) and won't have time to give the opening the attention it deserves. Sorry!

But in the meantime, we can have this post here to get to know one another. Tell us a bit about yourself and your character. Tell us the sorts of direction you want to take them in, any plots you've already half formed, etc.

Some points of business:

• Anyone who was accepted before I began requesting them with application acceptance, please create and link to an info post for your character so I can add it to the taken list.

• A more detailed post regarding the circumstances of the first three plot threads will go up Monday, which will introduce characters to the invasion and the dangers of revealing themselves. One of the three plots is closer to foreshadowing than anything that can be directly be interacted with at the start, but with a game like this you never know.

• You won't have to make AC for the first two months, but I will be requesting you fill out the form when it comes up and then giving me your feedback regarding how easy or hard you found it, both times. The current AC requirements may change in the future based on that input.

• Although applications aren't open yet, I'll be looking for two extra mods soon enough! Duties to be shared will be applications (which will be dealt with in shifts), organisation help (including AC and the taken list), being my American culture expert (what the heck are 'grits' and why would I eat them?) and finally, being privy to and assisting in running plots (so don't consider yourself for the position unless you're okay with spoilers).

I will be bringing this little ex-trailer-trash dandy with a tendency for mothering people, who has seemingly inherited the ability to be dumb as cardboard about his own self-worth from his preincarnated version. Thankfully, however, he won't even be half the angstmuffin, even when his Deus Angst Machina earlier life starts punching him in the face.

Ahahah yeah, he started out as a dishwasher at a restaurant at 16 and he kind of failed at school before that, so he is definitely going to be the odd one out among all these EDUCATED PEOPLE \o/

I can't even imagine what network conversations between these two will look like at this point, man. They definitely have some traits in common but are such veeeeeeeery different people. Looking forward to the RP ahead!

And it'll be even more fun once they start getting more Echoes because it opens up a whole new dimension of ways of being alike/unlike (can someone say "I have an angsty past in my previous life").

Okay, I think I missed your first intro here XD But I gotta say, Fai/Fenn is going to remind Lyall REALLY MUCH of a couple people he used to know once the memories start popping up... there's another vampire a lot like him, AND another werewolf, in Lyall's canon.

We should play with that somehow. Just sayin' X3

Ooooh, that's kind of awesome, and I approve greatly of that. (Especially since CLAMP can't play nice and make a kind of vampire that resembles... well, ordinary vampires.) I can definitely see how fun can be had with that, especially with the coming of more echoes. Fai might even be able to help him with those xD

THAT WOULD CERTAINLY BE HELPFUL, because. yeah full moons. Scary shit, man. And he will definitely start getting physical vampire traits before his magic and a lot of other things, so that could work ^^

...and I just realized that by being quiet, intelligent, loyal and strong, and by being someone who loses his "heart/soul" because of outside influence (ie the full moon) he is probably going to remind Fai of someone too ahahaha. This can only be terrible ^^
