is anybody really *good* at intros?

...cause I know I'm not. Ahem.

HI! I'm Sheena, and I'm new (obviously). I think I've tagged with a few of you on [community profile] bakerstreet before, using my main Dawn journal, [personal profile] watcherjunior. For my first character into this madness, I bring a reincarnated Dawn Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The little sister that never was, the Key, the annoying, shriek-y one. In canon, she was always pretty optimistic and perky, despite her small boatload of issues. Her reincarnation? Well... not so much.

Dahlia Silver has crafted this public image of being a carefree party girl who's smarter than you. It's a nice mask to hide the fact that she's, well, kinda self-destructing. She's been on this path since her mother's murder (which triggered that first Echo) years ago. She smokes, she drinks too much (despite being just underage), she's a fan of the five finger discount (even though she could buy pretty much whatever she wants), dabbles in drugs and other inappropriate behaviors. Strangely enough, getting Dawn's memories back will probably even her out and make her more well-adjusted.

I would really love to establish some pre-game CR, and here's some ways she could know/run into your character:
→ Like many others, she's a student at Locke City University. She also works for the university's radio station, hosting the 9pm-1am time slot 3-4 days a week. So anyone who tunes in may recognize her voice when she does her first voice/video post to the network.
→ She attended Locke City High School for her freshman year and the first part of her sophomore year. She was privately tutored after her mother died, and returned briefly the fall of her junior year, only to have a pretty spectacular meltdown at school. Her step-mother Sandra also works at the school, as a public speaking teacher and head cheerleading coach.
→ Her dad Randall is kinda a big deal type. He's that 'hometown guy made good' story. A big-name chef, he owns four very successful restaurants, and the newest one is the place with the mile long waiting list for reservations. Because of his status, she often makes appearances at things that end up in the society pages (usually doing something to embarrass the hell out of him).
→ Before her death, her mom Jocelyn was a part of the local music scene, with a band that worked the event circuit. She also taught dance, piano, and voice lessons. Dahlia still practices at her old dance studio.
→ Fill in the blank here. She's pretty social, despite some anti-social tendencies, so throw an idea at me and we'll rock it out.

Dahlia's info post is here and her app is here. I also love to plot, so there's that too. The easiest, quickest way to reach me is through Plurk, so please feel free to friend me at [plurk.com profile] lovedbythesun. Second best would be AIM at saviorsandsaints. I look forward to playing with you fabulous folks! xD

Well, hiya :) Welcome! I'm Gail, and I play this fellow here, the local high school biology teacher (whose name... also happens to be Randall? XD ) so he might have known your gal there during her, uh, meltdown phase? ^^' In his canon, he's a dapper Victorian werewolf, and sadly does not time travel despite the PB I chose.

I also have a wizard kitten from the Diane Duane wizard books, but it's really unlikely he'd have previous CR with her... XD

I look forward to scening with ya!

Haha, no worries at all, seriously :) I was more amused than anything else! Maybe she could have been amused by the coincidence herself, and that helps with the not hating? ;)

Also yay someone who knows my canon :D I am always stoked when that happens.

They're quick reads, at least! :) And there's manga adaptations of the first twooooo.

Oh dear, yes XD He's a bit socially awkward, in general, but better with students than with grown-ups. He's enthusiastic about his subject and over-protective of his students. Will that win him some esteem? :)
