Okay, so, the post in the plot post got to be something of a clusterfuck to the point that I don't think ANYBODY knows what the hell is going on anymore. SO. OOC POST OFFICIALE ish

As related in this plot post, it has come to light that the artist who carves the freaky snake statues gets his rock from an old coal mine outside of town. A number of groups want to explore this mine!

However, inside the mine is the Sage of Earth, who has answers to our questions... which he'll only say once, inside the mine. While he's going to consent to video recording, there still has to be a critical mass of people there in the flesh before he'll speak.

THIS POST! Is for organizing groups to

1. Explore the mine area

2. Find the Sage

3. Go see the Sage for his speech

also if someone can find the Gdoc we had about this and keep it updated that'd be great

This is for people who SPECIFICALLY WANT TO BE THERE IN PERSON TO HEAR THE SAGE SPEAK. That is to say, this isn't finding the sage initially or exploring the area, this is IF YOU WANT TO MEET THE SAGE

Some things:

> Even if your character wasn't there for exploration, a call WILL go out to the network to the effect of ERRYBODY GET UR BUTTS IN HERE so if your character isn't inclined to explore abandoned mines but IS inclined to hear strange old men talk about things, get in here

> Please answer this thread EVEN IF you are on Team Find The Guy, so that we have an accurate headcount of everyone who wants to LISTEN to the Sage, since we need a critical mass for him to speak at all.

I would like a volunteer for TEAM LEADER. PLEASE NOTE THAT IIRC, THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE FIND THE SAGE GROUP. I suppose it's possible that multiple teams find him at the same time, but even so, for purposes of organization we should count that as one supergroup.

THIS TEAM will post to the network upon finding the Sage with a general ERRYBODY GET IN HURR post.

Chris, despite being scared off of the Dead District temporarily, IS a fan of urban exploration, so she'll be in this group. I WILL NOT BE LEADING THIS GROUP HOWEVER KTHX and Chris isn't Starscreamy enough to backstab for the privilege yet :V

THIS is for people who don't really want to find the sage (and might not even want to meet him) but generally want to explore the surrounding area and maybe even parts of the mine that do not have Sages in them.

Hajime is showing up for this, but I plan to only have him answer the network call rather than be part of the initial exploration.

I also don't expect that he'd actually look for a group to head down there with or anything, he'd probably just grab Souji and waltz in on his own because that's how rolls. (And also because June is graduation/traveling for funerals bonanza, and I don't want to bite off more than I can chew RPwise.)

So unless someone specifically wants him for something on the way down, no group-sorting of any kind necessary for him, he's just going to ninja in and ninja out.

DERPING, YOU SAY?

Arthur wants in on these exploration shenanigans, and I am perfectly willing to have him miss out on seeing the Sage entirely in favor of making NEW FRIENDS.

Anthony is definitely going to do all he can to go back on the Sage's summons, whether Lyall likes it considering the planned preceding mess or not.

Shiro has no interest in clambering around in a dank cave but he really wants to see this crazy cave hobo in person SO he will be answering the call to COME SEE THE CRAZY CAVE HOBO

And I definitely want Audrey in on this too. She wants to hear what the sage has to say desperately, hoping this will put the situation into perspective for her.

Lyall is going to this, because info is important and he wants to make sure the guy smells okay :| (Arhu/Gomez is not, despite the name I'm on right now...)

Bakura's totally in! THIS IS THE MAIN QUEST, GUYS. No way he's not going to want to be there for the most RPG moment of everything so far :)

Urbex fan who also will be attempting to use Diabound to detect traps so possibly can even set them on the right direction before his summon runs out of time. Bakura's already been chatting with Kurt about going to explore the caves anyway :D

There were plans for the After School Numbers Club to go, get into trouble, and not find the Sage, before the Sage stuff happens. Problem is, someone who is not Lyall needs to decide to do it and then tell him about it :P Cuz he's not gonna go of his own initiative, much less invite the kids.

So who wants to get the idea and tell him about it? I know Kurt has touched on it in his network post, anybody else?

I'm cool with handwaving that conversation, of course, so we can just jump into action, but it should be worked out behind the scenes at least XD

So is Bakura going on the "find the sage" group or the "numbers club who doesn't find the sage" group? Cuz Lyall is in the "not finding the sage" group.

IF he's going with the find the sage group, maybe Chris talked him into it?

Just a note, it would be best if finding and then meeting the Sage does not occur until the end of this week at the very earliest. Therefore, you've got some time to organize and maybe even do a little preliminary exploration, talking about the mines on the network and getting others interested, etc., but the real deal finding the Sage and subsequent gathering for speeches cannot happen until then or later.

Hrm... Good question. He could be in either actually. He's just going to explore the caves at the very least.... Guess it depends who's in both groups? Cause on one hand, Chris, on the other hand, his school gang + teacher/stand in father figure.

I was pretty much going with "not finding the sage" for Lyall to give other people besides me a chance to do it, given I do a ton of plot stuff already :P That, and the numbers club group had a good reason to turn back too early, given Anthony is supposed to be getting hurt down there.

If Bakura and Chris don't wanna be in that group, that's fine, it can be the rest of the kids? Or else Lyall can just not get told and not go until the network post goes out X3 I'm easy.

I SOMEHOW MISSED THIS?!

So yeah, Bakura has been talking to Kurt about going so possibly Lyall can over hear the planning and be all "8| not without a chaperone"??
