Okay, so, the post in the plot post got to be something of a clusterfuck to the point that I don't think ANYBODY knows what the hell is going on anymore. SO. OOC POST OFFICIALE ish

As related in this plot post, it has come to light that the artist who carves the freaky snake statues gets his rock from an old coal mine outside of town. A number of groups want to explore this mine!

However, inside the mine is the Sage of Earth, who has answers to our questions... which he'll only say once, inside the mine. While he's going to consent to video recording, there still has to be a critical mass of people there in the flesh before he'll speak.

THIS POST! Is for organizing groups to

1. Explore the mine area

2. Find the Sage

3. Go see the Sage for his speech

There will be subthreads for this

also if someone can find the Gdoc we had about this and keep it updated that'd be great

*e2* RE: DATES. According to Our Lovely Mods, FINDING THE SAGE CANNOT HAPPEN UNTIL FRIDAY AT THE EARLIEST. Derping/other exploration stuff can happen whenever.

This is for people who SPECIFICALLY WANT TO BE THERE IN PERSON TO HEAR THE SAGE SPEAK. That is to say, this isn't finding the sage initially or exploring the area, this is IF YOU WANT TO MEET THE SAGE

Some things:

> Even if your character wasn't there for exploration, a call WILL go out to the network to the effect of ERRYBODY GET UR BUTTS IN HERE so if your character isn't inclined to explore abandoned mines but IS inclined to hear strange old men talk about things, get in here

> Please answer this thread EVEN IF you are on Team Find The Guy, so that we have an accurate headcount of everyone who wants to LISTEN to the Sage, since we need a critical mass for him to speak at all.

Hajime is showing up for this, but I plan to only have him answer the network call rather than be part of the initial exploration.

I also don't expect that he'd actually look for a group to head down there with or anything, he'd probably just grab Souji and waltz in on his own because that's how rolls. (And also because June is graduation/traveling for funerals bonanza, and I don't want to bite off more than I can chew RPwise.)

So unless someone specifically wants him for something on the way down, no group-sorting of any kind necessary for him, he's just going to ninja in and ninja out.

Anthony is definitely going to do all he can to go back on the Sage's summons, whether Lyall likes it considering the planned preceding mess or not.

Yes, definitely for Audrey.

Shiro has no interest in clambering around in a dank cave but he really wants to see this crazy cave hobo in person SO he will be answering the call to COME SEE THE CRAZY CAVE HOBO

Lyall is going to this, because info is important and he wants to make sure the guy smells okay :| (Arhu/Gomez is not, despite the name I'm on right now...)

Bakura's totally in! THIS IS THE MAIN QUEST, GUYS. No way he's not going to want to be there for the most RPG moment of everything so far :)

Shou is too curious for his own good and will try to see the Sage because old men living in caves giving out advice is sort of a thing that happens in legends all the time.

Both of mine are inclined to hear strange old men talk about things because they like info. So you can count Tamara and Leonhardt in, though Tamara will arrive with the call over the network.

Marisa wants to get her hands on some answers. That, and possibly slander the sage with wild, baseless accusations of being behind everything.

Aaron won't be exploring, but if he heard the call on the network, he would come. He wants answers.

Mordin will be in on this - there's no way he'd miss it.

Elizabeth wouldn't miss this for the world, and Toshi might get dragged along by his people? Guys?

And if there's any way Ayden could stumble into the mine on his own or something, I could really use excuses to get him involved in anything plot related ever.

luke would want to hear what the sage had to say personally.

Jules has a kind of minor claustrophobia thing going on, but hearing that some of these others were coming, he'd decide he might as well.

I'd like Emmanuel to get off his butt and answer the network call so he can meet some people in person, too. So count him in!

Cinderella is going to get by with a little help from her friends.

If still taking participants/new blood, Riku would be all over this and going into the mines sounds right up his alley! He may possibly take pictures of the Sage if that's allowed. xD
