In Locke he goes by Mamoru Nakamura, fraternal twin brother to this asshole hollowleg. Yes, his hair is black. Yes, he smiles. A lot, actually. He's one of those English majors who have no idea what to do with their lives, so they get a job at Starbucks until they figure it out. He also teaches a kids' karate class twice a week at the Angel Grove Gym and Juice Bar Y or something.

Also his first echo was from falling out a window a few days ago and catching himself in midair with some kind of weird foot-specific telekinesis? He doesn't even know what happened there.

SO YEAH even though Mamoru's only been in Locke for about a year, I would adore pre-game CR!! Even if it's only "he's that one barista at Starbucks who never remembers your character's name no matter how many times they come in and order the same drink." Because Mamoru never remembers your name. No matter how many times he writes it on a plastic cup in sharpie.

ngl at Sky Tides I started Ichigo out super depowered because I was sort of dreaming of getting a Hichigo and playing them as twins

it never happened then, and I got to have him go through AU versions of being unable to control the hollow/get vizard training IC which was pretty cool for sure but not quite the same

HM. Well, an americano is espresso shots + water, and can be taken with a little bit of hazelnut syrup? Not enough to make it super sweet but enough to flavor it? He could also just get coffee or iced coffee with hazelnut.

UNFORTUNATELY I couldn't go with the invisible phone thing, since supernatural elements in STE have to be directly connected to the invaders or to the Earth itself. So Mamoru wouldn't have seen ghosts :(

Oh hey this is actually relevant (beyond hooray for Ichigo!). Marisa mentioned a while ago that she was looking for a self defense class to take once she realized that this town is totally fucked up. She might be a bit old for a kids' class at 17, but if so she also might be taking boxing or something at the Y.

I don't know, I'm just reaching for pre-existing CR, however tenuous, for a character who only moved to Locke a few weeks ago.

She's a little on the old side, but I'm willing to stretch it to include 18-and-under. Marisa would definitely be one of the oldest in the class, but it's a beginner's class, so it's probably where she'd end up at least at first. I'd love to have them know each other!!

And even if she didn't opt for that, they could totally have seen one another around/talked for a bit. Mamoru is way friendlier than his canon counterpart!
