Hello, earth savers! I go by Awe and I am new to both this game and AU games in general. Fun stuff, isn't it?

And this girl is Miranda Atmiller, formerly Mir of the Ar tonelico game series. I say "series" here instead of just game since she was actually in both of the first two (Melody of Elemia and Melody of Metafalica). She was not in Qoga, though. I'd really rather not talk about Qoga.

Mir was created to be a perfect, emotionless weapon, her sudden development of emotions prompted her creators to try to suppress them, which kind of backfired and made her want to kill off humanity, oops. She got better (thanks to a protagonist), and then went off to some other country and helped some people with their collapsing floating landmass problem by helping them make a new one, but for most of that she went by Jacqli instead of her real name.

Miranda, on the other hand, is a rich kid that grew up mostly isolated from society, since her parents were both successful programming consultants and thus always out of the house. She kind of picked up her parents' computer skills and general self-reliance out of sheer boredom, and when she finally did make a friend from school they made a visual novel together and got a whole bunch of money. Eventually she found out that her parents were killed and the evidence covered up by a huge mega-corp so she kind of hates those things. She's new to Locke, having just moved in during the last couple weeks or so.

As for me, I'm into a lot of obscure and underrated video games so if you have one of those you want to ask me about ask away! You might be surprised.

Also I've been in a game with Shos before but never had the opportunity to actually play off of one, I think. I'm looking forward to that.

Nice to meet you Awe! I'm Nadia and play this girl here currently who is Takako/Fenrir from Pretear and goes by Tamara Osada in game. She's also a computer programmer/web designer/hacker and does some freelance work while going to school for her degree. Whether they know of each other or not, I'm sure they'll work together or against each other to hack stuff in the future and I look forward to it.

Well, there is one thing I left out in there, that being her hacker name, Clearsnake. They probably wouldn't know each other in person.

Although she is a grad student, so that should make arranging a meeting easy.

That won't be for a pretty long time, though, because getting it set up is going to require at least three echoes (the magic itself, the physiology required to use it, and the gigantic tower that technically makes it happen).

Although they're probably quite a few years apart in age, regardless. That doesn't matter though, really.

Miranda is 25. Mir is actually almost 400 due to separating her mind from her body while it was in stasis, as far as her canon appearances are concerned. She lives for another few centuries after that.

Hello there, Awe! I'm Alec and I just have the one character here. This is Shou from a movie about friendship, growing up, gangsters and vampires called Moon Child. In his previous life, he went from street kid to the boss of a district to a vampire. In this life, he's a trust fund bby that loves fast cars, dating, and staying far away from responsibility as he can get.

That actually sounds like a pretty good vampire movie. I mean it doesn't sound like there's any romance the way you describe it, and I just... don't like vampires and romance to mix.

It's an interesting movie although it suffers from a few glitches. The vampire bit isn't treated like a huge thing - it's just this guy is a vampire so it limits his lifestyle and brings some angst to the table. The two main actors were very new to acting, so there is some overacting happening, and the script wasn't edited to make too much sense. Yet, I do love it.

I admit, I ignored this intro when it first went up, mostly because I'm not very social and essentially canonblind to pretty much everyone, so I basically only say hi to the exceptions. But I have just learned that you're also a GS RPer - and, in fact, the one who is one of the reasons I'm looking into MLJ despite feeling too time-pressured to app a third character here. So, hi!

Nice. If I do at some point port Felix over there, he'll probably come from somewhere earlier, for great timeline shenanigans. At the moment I'm thinking somewhere on Jupiter Lighthouse. Possibly right after K&A spring their trap, or alternately in the brief time when he's got two Stars, and they'd come with him, thus dooming the world...

I know! Way back when I first picked up Felix, I played him from circa Prox with an Isaac who'd just gotten on Babi's ship. Good times, good times.

Ooh, I like that idea. Might be useful, from a meta perspective, to make her some kind of specialist if you go the medical route - I believe all we've got in that field at the moment are Strider and Mordin, who're both GPs.
