4th of July Party

Okay so, Davin just invited peeps who don't have anyone to hang out with, particularly mutated/changed peeps, to a 4th of July hangout. Not usre if this will garner any Vermini attention (mods), but I thought it might be a fun way to have characters meet up and interact, so if you want to come, then have your character come, everyone is welcome. I'll throw up a part post on the 3rd so we can get started on that.

IN ADDITION: Running with Ax's safehouse idea Dasraa has found a kind of shabby loft that isn't too much and doesn't cost a ton of money. At least I'm saying he has XD, if anyone else is interested in having their character set up a safehouse, they don't have to do it this way, but I want to know who else is interested in making something like this happen lets try and plot that out here!

Edit: Also I'm trying to decide between two different PB's. Any opinion is helpful. :3

or

They are Dhani Harrison and Alex Turner respectively.

(psst, both images are of Dhani Harrison. ASIDE FROM THAT, I prefer Dhani, although Alex's hair reminds me more of Mituna.)

Pandora doesn't exactly have funds either but she'd be up for helping set the place up.

Shou is going to be having his own little parties to attend - it being his birthday and all - but he may stop by for a moment or two.

As for a safe house, Shou is willing to help out with unexpected costs - bad plumbing, leaky roofs etc.

Lyall approves :| He is a broke-ass teacher, though, so he can't help out much... maybe once his windows/doors are replaced he can start donating some funds?

Once the place is set up, though, he will gladly offer to drop by once or twice a week and sniff around for potential trouble.

I did have that thought. Once he gets more of his supernatural strength and healing back, that will actually be a very good idea :B They have time, though. His house'll hold him for a few more months yet, at least, thankfully.

Eventually, though, that'll be a good place to stash it.

Ah, he'll be all right in the end :) I just like to torture my characters sometimes, that's all ^^

Tamara could make a bit of a donation monthly. She's not rich or anything, but could spare a bit to help out. The more the merrier with funds, right?

Well, they likely are going to have to pay rent on the place and will need consistent donations, not just flat donations. Though yeah, initial setup will definitely need more to cover stuff like getting utilities set up, making the deposit on the place, buying furniture, etc.

Actually, considering some of the sites Tamara sets up and owns herself, she may be able to help out by setting up something for anonymous online donations and even set up automatic ones if people want. She could do it by filtering it through one of her sites and do a coupon code given over the network that would let her know it's a donation and not for her services.

3000 square feet on a house is pretty big, that was more on the upper end as far as houses went where I grew up and would typically allow for a family of four to live in it with no one needing to share a bedroom, have a guest bedroom and there were plenty of rooms that could easily be converted as well. And that doesn't even get into the basement and attics that most east coast houses would have and could also be converted into living space.

Seriously, you could probably get around 7 people into that with no sharing of rooms (and the rooms would be spacious enough that they could be shared), still have a common room and eating area and that doesn't even get into the basement or attic, just the rooms that could be turned into living space without much trouble. Plus you'd likely have two and a half baths (two upstairs with showers, one downstairs with just a toilet) and a garage as well (we had a four car garage in the place I lived in that was about that size).

Yeah, don't mind me for knowing something about real estate, at least my parents constantly dragging me with them when they were looking at houses and the constant moves because my parents wanted something bigger did some good!

But yeah, we can assume she'll set something up there. When Davin has some more firm plans she can get things set up, along with her being able to transfer funds to him (quite doable with no fees as long as they have accounts in the same bank).

Well, saying 7 was assuming no sharing of bedrooms, and that's actually a lot for a house since most houses are made for families of 3-5 people.

Of course, if you are a master of getting a lot of people into a small space, there's a lot you can toy with, plus basements can add another whole floor and potentially up to 2-3 more bedrooms if someone knows what they are doing in adding rooms. I know from my dad doing it in all our houses that you can make a decent room in a basement in about a month's time, and that includes the indoor wiring and all. He could do all the walls and wiring on his own though, don't know if we have anyone here who could do that and hiring people to add rooms is pretty costly.

Wish I knew the square footage on the place I lived in in SoCal. That was a massive house and they converted nearly every room there into a bedroom and had some 15 people renting it out with no one sharing rooms. I'm betting that was something more like 4000-6000 though with the size of the common area and kitchen and that it had an exercise room as well. One thing I'll say about people in SoCal, they sure know how to cram lots of people into a house because you had to to be able to pay the bills there.

Ax would be up for the party, and for helping paint/furnish/clean the loft!

Those are both really good picks for a PB. I like Alex Turner, especially with his hair a little shaggy like that; it is rather Mituna-esque. :)
