This is Fran from Final Fantasy XII, reincarnated as Sonya Wood, a veterinarian at long time established Locke City Veterinary Clinic. Creative, I know! The acronym rolls off the tongue, though.

She's been in Locke City, and therefore LCVC, for about a year. Tentatively, there are 3-4 vets employed there (including herself) and two resident cats (Madam Ruby Belladonna and Cheeto). They are predominantly a small animal clinic, but I intend to be a little flexible since some vets do mix it up.

If you want that to be a thing, then totally! There could be a board certified specialist, or one who is familiar/takes avian cases but isn't "certified", or no vets with an interest in birds but when prompted, could do some research on them. An NPC could fill any of the three; Fran can fill the last two. Up to you!

Or fourth possibility I haven't thought of, also!!

I just had to bring it up because I'm toeing the edges of the bird owning community, and it's said a few times that birds need specialist vets. Julien would be pretty unhappy about coming to a vet regardless of certification, of course. /rubs hands together.

idk for general health I think a regular vet familiar with avians would do, but get into pathology and surgery and I'd go with a specialist. That said, I'm also not hellbent on getting everything one-hundred percent accurate so really, whichever you want for Jules is fine with me!

Yeah when you get into medication, too - though it will be quite some time before Julien loses all his mammal, and I'm not mean enough to give him echoes that are just... "would have great difficulties if dosed as if he was human". Sounds good, though!

Sure \o/ If he comes in regularly (annuals, picking up preventatives, etc), the staff could know he's a cat person and ask him if he's interested in fostering batch #76 of kittens-- probably in a joking manner but with elation if he actually accepts. Depends on how conversational/friendly he is with them, though.

Ahaha he's always tempted but knows he couldn't manage it on his schedule. Reluctant refusals, sorry staffers.

When it comes to his cats he is pretty conversational 8|; Still not particularly outgoing, but at least he comes off as friendly but quiet instead of aloof. He's also very understanding and respectful of any clinic issues because ha ha boy does he ever understand what it's like to work in a medical environment.

Yo man she knows how it is. I'd wager most of the clinic staff at one point suddenly found themselves with x kittens to foster before they could be taken to the shelter for adoption. She'll help you out, dudes.

Riku has a dog he and his roommate kinda took off the street during a rainy day-- they have no clue who the owner was to this day, but she's a fairly healthy doberman and well-behaved. c: Maybe Riku took her to Fran's Vet before? Or idk.
