Hi there StE. My name's Ren and I'm bringing Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass to terrorize the lot of you.
As a note for those familiar with his canon, Suzaku is a fair bit different than he is in the anime. He's more of the aggressive, arrogant little brat that he was before meeting Lelouch and Nunnally, and subseqently being traumatized a half dozen different ways. Because that's CLAMP for you. I'm all for plotting previous interactions, but Suzaku hasn't yet made any friends given his attitude problem and I want to maintain that going into the game.
I'm not really aces at introductions really, so if there are any questions/comments/concerns regarding Suzaku here (his name has not changed) you can feel free to PM this journal or my main one (
valor). Although I haven't been on AIM much lately, my handle there is lancefaire.
Looking forward to playing with you guys.

Anyways, I really know enough from RPing about your guy's canon. Shou'd a bit of a troll and a bit of a toughie with a heart of spun sugar and transparent as a rock.

Sounds like a blast right there. This guy's a jerk, but he at least doesn't pick on folks/has his little code of honor. And if he gets to being fond of anybody he hits the tsundere button like the fist of an angry god.
Heaven forbid he be forthright with anyone.

He will stand up for others and can get very defensive about people picking on others for being different. It's one of the reasons why he got into fights alot and is considered having a temper among his peers.
Oh man, that sounds like it would be fun to see what will happen.

They're not dissimilar in that, though Suzaku's qualifier is people who are weaker than himself or whoever's picking on them. He'll bust that right on up, and given he gets into confrontations easily he hasn't made friends for it by any means.
I agree, it sounds like it'd be pretty darn interesting.

Shou's family has some political and financial clout back in Japan, though they are the rare breed of honest Joes among the rest of the group, which sort of makes him a target for 'keep on his good side' when it comes to peer friendships. He prefers to hang out with the rougher kids because they are a lot more honest about their issues than those that hold the same sort of clout as his family does.
Course, that makes him a black sheep in most people eyes since he doesn't want to have anything with that sort of thing.

Makes enough sense. Suzaku'd consider it understandable, though his social perceptions are a bit skewed. Just about anyone he's ever dealt with winds up intimidated and/or avoids him forthwith.
But he still knows Nice Guys are incredibly, almost depressingly rare.

Shou doesn't scare easily. In canon, he pretty much is completely reckless to the point of throwing himself into the line of fire with a laugh. Of course, it changes as the movie progresses, but he still is pretty darn reckless to the point of suicidal.
Yet, he still is a very nice guy.
no subject
Gosh, that is some kind of reckless indeed. Doesn't value himself much, or what?
Nice guys are always good. Rare things ought to be appreciated.
...Not that Suzaku won't tsun it up even if he registers and acknowledges that Shou is indeed genuine Nice Guy stock. Does the same thing to the one person he's got much respect for, even.

Well, he did have help in the form of a vampire guardian who pretty much raised him from when he was a tiny street brat. By the time he hit thirty, he was at the peak of far as being human could be.
Oops. Funtimes interacting with a tsun :3
no subject
When you put it that way, I think I get it. Kind of like living in a completely different world, that.
Forever a tsun. Can't be getting all sappy on people, ew.
no subject
Very much so. Completely different world and level.
Ew sap. Unfortunately, Shou is a sap. In canon, his guardian (played by HYDE) would always be 'you're still such a crybaby, Shou'.

Makes me think about how surreal things might get to feeling like for various characters. Real world with nothing terribly unusual and then suddenly vampires and giant robots.
Aw, well, it's okay if it's Shou being the sap. Just don't go spreading that around man.
no subject
He tries not to.
no subject
Oh good. Suzaku doesn't want those cooties. He's just gonna be a tough thug forever...or he'll sure try.
no subject
Tough thugs are fun. Shou tends to shoot at them.
no subject
Sure, sap and shoot at him, why don't you. Both at once would be an impressive feat indeed.

Give him some kind of horribly optimistic name like Harmony. That or go really generic like John or Henry.
Because the internet told me Harmony was a boy's name. I doubt it, but it's funny anyway.
no subject
I love odd names and plan on making him a bit of a grease monkey so want something rather wacky to boot.
no subject
That should be pretty fun. Bonus points if he gets another literal name. The Hope applicant and I managed that without really thinking about it. Room for more puns always...or snerking whenever a name manages to find its way into normal sentences.
Hope --> Miles
Clear --> Pierce
Cloud --> Somethin' Spiffy!

Pretty much do want to keep it a little punny. I just need to work on it in my head to find a rather neat fit.
