That aside: new character! This is Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin/Are We Sick Of This Youtube Meme Yet - although in this life, she goes by Mikasa Bito (if that last name made you wonder, yes, she's got family from unrelated canons on the way). In her past life she was a serious, stoic badass who was at the top of her military training class and got to hunt Titans and look damned good while doing it; in this life, you may know her as one of those kids who effortlessly sets the grade curve at the local high school and plays the tuba in marching band.

She is much more well-adjusted, expressive, and happy than her canon counterpart at this point in time.

Let's see how quickly I can ruin that.

We could potentially have previous CR between these two actually because they're both the same age and go to the same school so maybe they share some classes together???

I WOULD LIKE THIS VERY MUCH. Mikasa's the kind of student who's a teacher's pet without actually acting like a teacher's pet; she just does everything right and doesn't make a big deal out of it.

Ahahaha Danny is not that kinda kid, he historically is not a great student. Kind of a high C/low B average sort. Also the "has a hard time paying attention" sort.

Is she the type to do any tutoring, maybe? Because if she does maybe she tutors him in a subject he aggressively sucks at or something.

I could see her helping him out, yeah! She's not nearly as closed off here as she is in canon.
