Weird Plotting Thing

So Aaron Carter Strider bought up the possibility about a month back about checking out Thunder Corp and also maybe investigating the abandoned mines again. Not everyone really has the kind of skillset that lends to breaking and entering and general business-related espionage, and I don't recall there being a thread for it (i could be totally and completely wrong though) so knowing that... EXPLORING THE MINES FIELD TRIP, WHO WANTS TO GO?

Since what's going to happen depends on who comes and what kind of shenanigans they get into, I sort of need a list of who's interested and who's coming and what they're going to do before I can pull the mods fully into this and get the deets on what's gonna happen. Soooo I'm popping a plotting post up here so y'all can talk about what is gonna happen and all that cool jive stuff.

EDIT: Information has been brought to my attention! It isn't free out there ICly yet, but plans should include the eventual reveal of this information. Basically think of what your character would do if they knew this and this, and whether or not your character would be interested in taking part if this information came to light?

EDIT: Mac (that'd be this guy) will find out some things by breaking into a warehouse guarded by Ellie. Just thought you ought to know.

EDIT: I set up a Gdoc that has a general list of information (taking into account the information the characters going should know) and a list of who is going and what they're bringing. It's far from complete, so if anyone wants to help add anything, feel free.

Totally wrong journal here, but actually there was going to be some information going out very soon related to that because Tamara got some damn good intel. Not saying hey, don't do this, but when people see this information they may want to change what is being looked for and that may well affect some of your plotting.

Oh man, sorry about that. I popped off a question to the mods a few days ago and just got a response back yesterday, but me and another castmate had been talking about it in that post in a vague sort of sense to I figured I may as well solidify it here since I bothered getting the permission and all. I noticed that she made a post, but I'll admit that I wasn't sure what the contents of the info were until you linked it. Sorry about that.

I didn't think it would happen that way but I guess this is actually a pretty good thing whenever it gets released. The mine trip doesn't really have a set date or a set objective, and this kind of helps with both of those things. The post is already up, but I guess whenever Tamara releases her info, Kanti and whoever else is interested can alter their plans and so on to compensate for the information. At the least they'll know it isn't a totally pointless thing to do?

Not a worry, if I had posted the info already it would be another thing entirely. I thought I'd give you what she has to help with making plans since it gives them a lead to find some Target 1 underground. So there's still something to search for, just a different thing and I'd not want you guys making plans just to have to scrap them!

At least that does help some with objectives and investigating the mine isn't something that shouldn't be done. It should be looked at again knowing the sage and his story was fake because it would be good to know how did he demonstrate powers like theirs. That will help make sure people don't fall into a similar trap later.

Thank you! I appreciate the info and I've edited this post accordingly. I can't really fix the IC post since Kanti doesn't know what the jist of the info is yet, but that's what follow-ups are for! Scrappage is definitely not going to happen, esp. since the subject is kind of a big deal among the Secret Numbers Club. Everyone might just have to alter things as we go along ICly, if that is a thing they wanna do.

Yeah, Kanti wasn't actually around when it Went Down, but she's generally kind of annoyed at how little info they've gotten aside from that. It's probably not going to make her as mad as it does Tamara, but she will be pretty pissed off.

As the person who asked for that second thing which was chronologically first on that mod plotting post, I figure I should mention that the IC visit to Thunder in which Miranda serves as mission control hasn't happened yet (as far as I know, but if it has how rude of whoever put it together to not wait for me!). I was about to put up a plot post for that, actually, but maybe we could consolidate that plotting into this one?

I mostly figure if ALL that happens offscreen it is one heck of a handwave. It seems too significant to not play out.
