Enzel here, I've been having some weird computer issues for the past few days that have (hopefully) been resolved. This means I can actually get back to tagging, woo.

But the real reason this post is here is because I'm working on a combo app! And I was wondering if anyone's got friend/family member/awkward ex openings they want filled.

I'll be apping Richard and Lambda from Tales of Graces. Here's the basic idea: Amorphous energy creature becomes lab subject, runs away from mad scientist, hates everything, decides to share a body with a prince. Prince's uncle kills his dad and takes the throne. (it's very Lion King.) Prince decides to retake his kingdom and KILL EVERYONE WHO OPPOSES HIM because the thing that's slowly taking over his body is making him hate everything too. But! The power of friendship prevails. Somehow?

In Locke, Richard is a twentysomething history major, giant nerd for medieval things, and stuck working at Starbucks because student loans are hell. He's painfully outgoing and openly bi, so there's that. Lambda is an eleven-year-old girl who likes art and is a little antisocial. Ideally, I'd like some family for her, possibly an older sibling. Her name/appearance is totally up in the air.

Also, I just threw Richard on the test drive meme in case people want to get a feel for him. Thanks in advance!

oh god, Richard and Shiro could have totally had a Thing at some point. Shiro is bad about one night stands and flings...

Haha, and Richard is that person that is so social he's bad at giving any significant others enough attention...so it works out. (eventually Echoes will make him more antisocial and it will confuse him terribly.)

Richard and Julien would so be friends. Both being bi and not shy about it but Jules also likes meaningless flirting... umm, maybe there was flirting which for a long time didn't look like it would go anywhere, and then looked like it would, but then Jules cut that off? Julien didn't want people noticing his breathing changed.

Also I talked a little about Tash with you, too. Orphan since early childhood, bounced from one foster home to another, is weird and doesn't really connect with people. Lambda... Is it too much of a monopoly/soap opera to say she could be the little sister who was a baby when their parents died, and as a baby was much more adoptable than a moody psychic kid? And they don't... realize this for a while? Tash in canon has a little brother.

Sounds fine to me! He's from elsewhere but moved to Locke for college and never left, so he's been in the city for about 6 years.

I'm up for it, especially if I don't get any more offers. Tash is super blonde, though, right? Though I guess genetics can be unpredictable enough that my initial sketch doesn't need much tweaking. I'm also willing to work something out with Richard instead, since they look more alike, and I have basically no ideas for his family situation yet.

Cool, cool! Julien lived in Locke for a while as a teenager and has been back for about two years.

Tash is blonde and blue-eyed, but both of those are recessive traits, so she could've been born to darker haired parents. I've also thought about changing her PB to this kid, but idk. And being Richard-kin could be cool too! It seems like if they were siblings people would be more willing to work to keep a three-year-old and an early teen together than a three-year-old and a baby, but I'm open to other options!

Awkward exes, you say? Nick could be a contender for one of those! He's that guy with a string of relationships that didn't last longer than a few months - mostly because while he was charming and attentive enough in the beginning, he's a workaholic detective and is extremely bad about balancing work and paying attention to any significant others.

Sounds perfect, they can have been terrible at being attentive together. Though Richard's problem is that he just likes going out and partying/bar hopping/socializing/what have you way too much. Who knows how he made it through school.

That's definitely perfect, they probably would have lasted on the longer side of those few months just because neither of them would have complained too much about the lack of attention.

For Lambda, maybe you could base her appearance on one of the robots from the lab on Fodra? (It's been a while since I beat the game so I forget the specifics) Hell, she could even look like Protos Heis that would be pretty ironic. As long as she's not a tiny robot next to a spaceship that kills you if you don't beat it in under 5 minutes goddammit.

Actually, she should totally be that too. Lambda's such a kook.

(TBH I thought no matter what you do in that boss fight he explodes, so you just need the autolife skill, but maybe my gf and I just suck at video games :U)

I actually have an appearance in mind for Lambda, but I figured I'd ask around first for people with family openings and just tweak it if I got any takers. Because emotional support is probably a good idea, considering the trauma congo line ahead!
