Weird Plotting Thing

So Aaron Carter Strider bought up the possibility about a month back about checking out Thunder Corp and also maybe investigating the abandoned mines again. Not everyone really has the kind of skillset that lends to breaking and entering and general business-related espionage, and I don't recall there being a thread for it (i could be totally and completely wrong though) so knowing that... EXPLORING THE MINES FIELD TRIP, WHO WANTS TO GO?

Since what's going to happen depends on who comes and what kind of shenanigans they get into, I sort of need a list of who's interested and who's coming and what they're going to do before I can pull the mods fully into this and get the deets on what's gonna happen. Soooo I'm popping a plotting post up here so y'all can talk about what is gonna happen and all that cool jive stuff.

EDIT: Information has been brought to my attention! It isn't free out there ICly yet, but plans should include the eventual reveal of this information. Basically think of what your character would do if they knew this and this, and whether or not your character would be interested in taking part if this information came to light?

EDIT: Mac (that'd be this guy) will find out some things by breaking into a warehouse guarded by Ellie. Just thought you ought to know.

EDIT: I set up a Gdoc that has a general list of information (taking into account the information the characters going should know) and a list of who is going and what they're bringing. It's far from complete, so if anyone wants to help add anything, feel free.

Totally wrong journal here, but actually there was going to be some information going out very soon related to that because Tamara got some damn good intel. Not saying hey, don't do this, but when people see this information they may want to change what is being looked for and that may well affect some of your plotting.

Oh man, sorry about that. I popped off a question to the mods a few days ago and just got a response back yesterday, but me and another castmate had been talking about it in that post in a vague sort of sense to I figured I may as well solidify it here since I bothered getting the permission and all. I noticed that she made a post, but I'll admit that I wasn't sure what the contents of the info were until you linked it. Sorry about that.

I didn't think it would happen that way but I guess this is actually a pretty good thing whenever it gets released. The mine trip doesn't really have a set date or a set objective, and this kind of helps with both of those things. The post is already up, but I guess whenever Tamara releases her info, Kanti and whoever else is interested can alter their plans and so on to compensate for the information. At the least they'll know it isn't a totally pointless thing to do?

As the person who asked for that second thing which was chronologically first on that mod plotting post, I figure I should mention that the IC visit to Thunder in which Miranda serves as mission control hasn't happened yet (as far as I know, but if it has how rude of whoever put it together to not wait for me!). I was about to put up a plot post for that, actually, but maybe we could consolidate that plotting into this one?

I mostly figure if ALL that happens offscreen it is one heck of a handwave. It seems too significant to not play out.

Actually, Tamara also got that via her own hacking attempts. I linked that since the mods pretty much said she got the same info Miranda did and it seemed to be more expedient to directly link that one.

Marisa came up with a similar idea a while ago, but failed to follow through on actually organizing it. At the very least, she will tag along and split her time between annoying the people going along with random chatter and actually helping out.

Miranda's been wanting to get a good inside look at the place and she's willing to help a small team of numbers clubbers get in, avoid detection, and grab the intelligence through judicious use of voice numbernet communication (since checking texts every two minutes would just be obnoxious).

I'm interested! I received some juicy details from the mods about Thunder Corp's involvement with the mafia right over here, which Regina will eventually stumble upon.

Problem is, she can't feasibly do it alone and she knows this. Plus I know Audrey-mun is interested in joining as well, so would Miranda collaborate?

I am literally just making a list of who's doing what in one of the fifty billion empty journals I have lying around. Looks like this adventure is gonna be filled with teenagers doing dubious shit and I am totally okay with that.

Shou's been thinking about becoming a more active member of things and he is willing to go into the mines and/or at least fund the supplies they may need. He also may not have his gun skills YET but he is very very fast and flexible not his vampire speed/strength/bullet proofness but top human kind.

Mac might be doing some Thunder Corp related breaking an entering himself over the weekend and, depending on when and where this happens (considering he now is properly motivated), might be incredibly likely to go a mine-diving. Especially if he has another echo back that makes him useful. (AKA Hammerkind smashing)

Since the mines were brought to Derek's attention a little while back, i'd be interested in throwing him into the mine exploration.

Although he lacks any sort of supernatural skills. He can offer some upper-body strength though?

Plenty of the people coming so far don't really have any supernatural skill, and Kanti herself only has some glowing bits on her, so he is more than welcome. They could use some upper body strength!

Fred is in like an in thing. Which amuses me, because last time he was involved in a going-back-to-the-mines conversation (with Gomez) he wasn't sure he'd want to go himself. Ah, the difference even minor personality Echoes can make.

Anyway, Fred's got his sword, and some degree of rock-dropping and healing magic, any of which could be useful down there. He'd be disappointed at the first info-link, and probably wouldn't head down once that comes to light except to help people who want to go regardless.

so fun story i actually looked at your icon on another post and I was like "is that felix" and then I looked closer and it was like "it's felix YEAAAAAH" Golden sun was my THING when I was a wee one. I was way better at puzzle things back then.

But yeah, Kanti is probably going to brace for refusals once that info comes to light. She still plans on going down, and Karson will probably come with her, but she's not exactly going to force anyone to live up to what they said before they knew shit like this was going down, but Fred has a crazy useful skillset so if he ended up coming that would be PRETTY awesome NGL.
