Hey everybody! This is Bookie, resident Demyx/Neku/creepy child Pharos, with her forth (sob) character. This is Melissa Lyre, a tabletop character from World of Darkness (specifically, played in Hunter: The Vigil and then used as an NPC in Vampire: The Requiem). She was a cop turned monster hunter turned vampire. It was an... interesting game.
Here, she's still a cop, but not the nice type. Melissa here is the game's first altered PC cop, meaning she's sworn loyalty to Sherman and she is about as happy to be in the Numbers Club as I'm sure all your characters are going to be to have her. So that'll be interesting.
I'm also totally up for pre-network CR! There are two main ways you'd know her: if you're a cop, Melissa is a sargent with a reputation for working her ass of all the time and being willing to take on the cases nobody else wants. On the clock, she's very serious business, but anyone who's worked with her in any capacity knows that she's a hell of a lot of fun to go out drinking with it. She's also been involved a lot in helping out ThunderCorp with their various PR issues.
The other main route is if your character is at all involved in the nightlife of Locke City. Melissa gets around quiiiite a bit, so if you would like to assume your characters has had a one night stand with her that's fine. Her conditions are that they be reasonably attractive and find her to be super hot. (Also to not be a co-worker, because... that's a little too awkward for her.) Otherwise, feel free to just recognize her as someone who frequents a lot of bars and clubs.
ANYWAY I AM SUPER LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS. :')

...for previous CR, that is!
L is known to the police folks as that wild-eyed, weird guy who spent three years in a mental ward and tried to apply for a job as a detective a few years ago. Sherman wasn't officially in working in Locke City yet, I don't think, but he was consulted about L and was like "LOL nope". He was the meanest about it, and even the nice cops shrugged and said "sorry, man, it's just not doable."
He had a perfect score on the competence exam, but failed personality and interview very, very badly.
He had a huge grudge against Sherman even before the Numbers Club, in other words.

Hell of a good detective, though, you are all going to be so sorry you didn't hire him once he's had more echoes, OK.

Gerald's an FBI agent who just arrived back in town to investigate rumours of corrupt businesses in Locke City. His presence is known to the police and I'm sure that he'll be meeting with them face to face to discuss all sorts of great mutual cooperation and the like so yeah. :|b

in a visual kei kinda way, and C- having the capacity of drinking a fair amount of booze before hitting the 'fu grrr' temper of his, which results in some nasty fights. Usually though he doesn't hit that phase until he goes through a super giggly and super mellow phase first.no subject

Kotetsu started withdrawing from all his coworkers around April, but maybe they were casual friends/acquaintances beforehand? Kotetsu's been on the force 15 years and is kind of a notorious workaholic himself xD
they could totally have gone drinking together sometime too :'D

HI I have Nick here, who has also sworn loyalty to Sherman! (except he was totally lying. Shh.)
BUT YES he's a homicide detective, as well as the homicide department supervisor, and he is really similar to her about on the clock and off the clock stuff! He's a workaholic, so he's tended to be on the clock more than off for the most part, but he's also a hell of a lot of fun to drink with when he does.
As far as Sherman goes, Nick joined up with him back in November, and I think so far he's made about half of the arrests of Numbers Club people? He isn't altered himself, but he can tell who is and generally with what.
Iiii would totally love to plot some CR stuff, either pre or post Sherman or both, if you're willing!

Ooooh sounds like they should be buddies. :D Melissa probably liked him before joining up with Sherman anyway- she's probably been on that team since September-ish. And Melissa literally JUST got altered so he wouldn't have seen her that way in work yet, but sooooon.
and yes all the plotting let's do this. :D If you want to look up at Nick's thread I summed up some general info about her that Nick could know (though depending on how good friends they wind up being, it could be more idk).

helene here is a bonafied gangster since teenagers
wanna say that they encountered eachother once or twice? Probably Helene getting away either by the skin of her teeth or by it being one of her earlier offenses and she got off easy?
Because I'm going off the idea that she's never been in juvie.no subject
