Return of the Towers plot!
Does anyone remember this plot (specifically the Tuning Towers part)? If you don't that's okay, but I do want to massively apologize for dropping the ball. My PC went out of commission a day after that and December turned out to be way more intensive at work than I thought. Still having PC issues, but I wanted to get everything sorted out and after talking to the mods there's a few things I think should be discussed by the game at large before I do anything else with this plot.
I wanted to do this plot as a way to help characters get involved with game plot regardless of whether they were in with a specific group or not since I knew people were having trouble finding things for their characters to do or reasons for them to care. After talking with the mods though I think it's been a little unclear what the game plot for Season One is.
Season One is for characters to gain echoes in preparation for Season Two and to become aware of and (somewhat) acclimated to the general game situation. What this means is that by playing even simple slice of life your character is already involved in game plot. Any information gathering or actions against NPCs are fun extras. Because of the nature of Season One this means that there is a finite amount of information that can be gathered in addition to a limited extent of actions taken; this is because Season Two will be more heavily focused on those things.
Which brings me back to the Towers plot: all information regarding Thunder Corp for this season has already been found. Characters won't be able to find out what Thunder Corp is doing at the Towers; at least for this season. Normally I'd want to continue the plot since that was only half of it, but Season Two won't start until Thunder Corp reaches their goal in the Towers basement.
Any action against the Towers operation will delay Season Two.
I don't mind running the plot as a failure with Numbers being thwarted, but this would cause more police crackdown and suspected characters being taken in. So obviously I don't think that's my call to make since this would effect a large amount of characters. Other options are having the plot never come to fruition (plans were made, but they never happened for whatever reason, no consequences, everyone goes about their day) or running the plot as a success (which I don't find very advisable since it would delay Season Two).
Finally I did talk to the mods a bit on what avenues for information and general involvement above general slice of life there are left in Season One. The Blood Keys and Pride are the few sources of information/action left for Season One; Season One is also slated to end some time this month. I know there are a few plots going on with them already, but if anyone wants to do anything more this would probably be a good time to get everything sorted out. If you want to get your character involved, but aren't sure how I think this is a good time to ask as well and we can all help eachother out a bit.

During a conversation with Brooke, Ravi formed the idea to have one team try to take out whatever Thunder is trying to build in the DD, while another team goes to the Tuning Towers basements to try to sabotage the excavation equipment.
He feels like the former is going to be more important than the latter, so he'd be keeping the DD team largely secret while the TT mission would be public, allowing for IC sabotage or some kind of trap that causes it to fail. NOT SURE IF DESIRABLE since that would place Zelos as the fall-boy for anything going wrong.

Though after some consideration I think it is a good idea to hold off on planning this until after the next mod plot post goes up. There's some confusion I think needs to be cleared up before we move forward.

For one thing, is this my imagination or is this a thing that is actually happening in two days? IIRC it involves the kidnapping of a bunch of Keys and a rescue effort on the Keys' part, which is where Skyler (and possibly Helene) would come in. Is my understanding here correct? Is there anything else I should know about how the encounter should pan out?

there was a log set up last month which i never got around to tagging, and the latter part w/ a rescue wasn't an idea that happened until like literally a day or two ago

does this mean for plot advancement, thunder corp getting to whatever's in TT basement (additional question if it's revealable: is that wise snake or something else?) is eventually inevitable?

So as a newbie, that last line speaks to me. :P

Would this even be possible? If he were to try and pry information out of them, what would happen? What would he manage to get?
This is for the mods ofc, but I thought to put this out here so others can see in a slightly more related post.

• Names and addresses of leader/s and members.
• Their headquarters and why they seem to operate around the Dead District so much.
• Location of weapon staches, if they have 'em, and what else they have on them that makes them strong.
• If they have people infiltrating the police department, Thunder Corp and Tuning Towers, and who these people are. If not infiltrating, then who their connections are.
• What their goal/s are-- basically why they operate at all.
If the subject of cybernetics comes up, here's what he'll ask:
• Who or what made them cybernetically enhanced and how the procedure/s went. And if they even gave consent for it. Also, location of cybernetics facilities in Locke if they have them.
• How their enhancements work, and what their weakness is/are.

While the thug detained would blab off names of leaders, they'd provide no addresses - they wouldn't know them, themselves. They operate around the Dead District through orders toward the top of the heirarchy, enforced by connections to Vincent Albero, also, the member will claim, what got them into a deal with "some tech company" - not any connection with Thunder Corp., Tuning Towers, or the police.
They do consent to installation of their cybernetic enhancements, in a procedure that involves replacing their vital organs with tougher ones and implants placed in their eyes and limbs. The Key'll profess no knowledge of where the enhancements come from, and refuse to tell Miles any weaknesses they may have as well as details on how they're armed/equipped - apart from a tip that a few of the higher-up members have weapons installed.
As for why they operate, their goals are whatever they want them to be. Behind their cybernetics, as far as be told, they are no atypical gang - on the level on which a large, ruthless, currently dubiously "successful" street gang could be considered typical.

There is word on the street regarding each, of course, though cursory prying will reveal that Artichoke King is a woman.
