farmhouse/alien attack IC plan (draft)

Hi all! Apologies for the wait, unexpected increase in work days. Anyway, here’s the IC plan for the farmhouse attack. It’s not finalized; there’s some wiggle room for character placement and the plan itself.

• PART 1: Monitor the area for a week+.
◦ Remotely or invisibly:
‣ Christobel (drones)
∙ plus others who are willing to look over video footage (from Chris’ drones?), take notes of patterns, anything of interest
L?
Shiro
‣ Bakura (invisibility) – weekend, if anything (student, ergo theoretically at school on weekdays) weekdays
‣ Danny (intangibility) – weekend, if anything (student, ergo theoretically at school on weekdays)
‣ Roxy (intangibility) – weekend, if anything (student, ergo theoretically at school on weekdays)
• PART 2: Actual attack.
◦ Volunteers split into:
‣ Underground tunneling led by Sophie (characters that can hold their own in a fight; expecting resistance inside [robots or chimeras]; also closest to the white door with the keypad)
∙ Soren (telekinesis to move items or animals)
Aria (telekinesis to move items or animals) (moved to ground cover)
∙ Davin (telekinesis to move items or animals)
∙ Neku? (psychic look-out for people detection, offensive support?)
∙ Toushirou (offense)
∙ Hajime (offense)
∙ Mac (offense)
∙ Shiro (offense)
∙ Bakura (not present, but monitoring the farmhouse via Diabound from a distance – specifically, another set of eyes for the underground team)
∙ (at least one of them keeps a video-format Network post open for mission control)
∙ (I know Chris said her drones could release the animals, but I’d rather give that task to characters)
‣ Ground cover (characters that can hold their own in a fight)
∙ Aria (telekinesis to throw people)
∙ Benjamin (disarming alien defense tech)
∙ Danny (helping Benjamin)
∙ Roxy (offense, sneaking)
∙ Alexander V (offense, hypnotizing)
∙ Anthony J (offense)
∙ Octavia (mind control as many cops as poss., then try to mind control the alien?, offense)
∙ Ax-Alex (offense, look out)
∙ Shou (offense)
∙ Kotetsu (offense)
∙ Arthur (offense)
∙ Luke (offense)
∙ Kari (rear line support)
∙ Miranda (rear line support)
∙ Isaac and Miria (van ram)
∙ Calvin (offense)
∙ Yoko (offense)
∙ Kanti (offense)
∙ Miles (offense)
∙ Chris (rear line support)
∙ Harding (rear line support)
∙ (several of them keep a video-format Network post open for mission control (GOPRO, YEAH))
‣ Distant offense
∙ Marisa (flight, offense)
∙ Reimu (flight, offense)
∙ Gerald (sniping from a distance)
∙ (they keep a video-format Network post open for mission control)
‣ Mission control (characters that are skilled with computers and/or analysis and communication)
∙ Barnaby
∙ L
∙ Asuka
∙ Michelle
∙ Elian
∙ Wheatley
∙ Bakura (physically present, using Diabound to monitor the farmhouse)
∙ (they will have open video/audio Network connections)
∙ (they will be in one of the safehouses)
‣ Medics
∙ Sierra (magic first-aid)
∙ John Smith (doctor)
∙ Ravindra (magic first-aid, guard)
∙ Nick (guard)
∙ Calvin (not directly, but may be told to keep on ear open for the medics so he can bust someone out of the field with his super speed if necessary)
∙ Granny Curry (super granny guard)
∙ (they keep open lines on the Network)
∙ (they will be stationed a safe distance away, but close enough to reach the offensive teams if dispatched)
‣ Other (not directly involved)
∙ Henry (item transformation)
The rough plan of attack is:
‣ The ground and aerial teams take the attention of the sniffer dogs/corrupt cops outside of the farmhouse.
‣ While the ground/aerial teams are distracting enemies, the underground team tunnels into the farmhouse from below and releases the animals/chimeras.
‣ Once the underground team achieves that, they move on to waiting outside the white door with the keypad. (This is why hard-hitters like Toushirou, Hajime, Mac and Shiro are in the underground group – to keep the alien engaged while the others take care of the enemies outside.)
‣ The chaos is meant to coax whatever is in the room with the white door/keypad lock to leave. (Spoilers: it’s the alien.)
‣ If the chaos does not coax the alien out of the room, then Danny and Benjamin make a beeline for the door to bust the keypad.
‣ Destroy the alien.
• OTHER NOTES:
◦ In regards to killing, Alex would want everyone to accept killing someone in combat as a real possibility and to not begrudge anyone else for killing any corrupt cops/sniffer dogs/animals/chimeras/etc. If anyone openly has a problem with this, he is going to want them to rethink their involvement.
◦ I would love to see Granny Curry kick ass on the field, but I need some IC justification to put her on a team.
◦ The log will be forward-dated by at least a week. IC-wise, it will happen on a Saturday, either 2/15, 2/22, or 3/1. Not sure if day or night yet. Probably day so everyone can see without resorting to extra equipment.

Please confirm your character’s role and placement.

Now here’s some OOC information:
• Enemies consist of:
◦ corrupt cops
◦ sniffer dogs
◦ automatic defense systems
◦ chimeras
◦ two robots (at least)
◦ the alien
• We will add more robots by request. (Not a kerjillion billion, but an additional handful are a-okay.) If you’re interested in NPCing your own robots/corrupt cops/chimeras, let us know and we’ll provide you with their stats.
• The alien is not susceptible to mind control, but the characters don’t know that.
• In the interest of simplicity, the alien will leave the room.
• The thread for fighting the alien will not not be restricted to the underground team. They will encounter the alien first, but they will not be the only ones attacking it. They cannot destroy the alien by themselves.
• The thread for fighting the alien is likely going to be a clusterfuck. I’d like to give all the participating fighters a chance to shine. It will be a free-for-all, so please do any planning for it on the OOC community where those involved can contribute and keep it flexible. Please also be flexible if someone tags in without notice. Don’t worry about tagging order.
• Characters engaging the alien in battle will not emerge from battle uninjured.
• If you want to avoid your character’s direct involvement with fighting the alien though they would IC-wise want to participate, you could say they were incapacitated by a different enemy.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Edit: Fighting the alien will grant one Echo.

Also I admire your dedication in giving every Doctor their own journal. I am super lazy and just made one Doctor journal for everybody.

Haha I've done it slowly and surely. Considering how different they all are it only seems right.
