SO. I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but we KINDA had a very big, very public snakefight in downtown Locke happen today!

Obviously the news is all over it and everyone is finding out about the incarnates, which means that people like the Fentons (read: conspiracy theorists) are finding out about all of this. Which means, they are gonna go ballistic with all-new theories. As a result, I'm going to be making another conspiracy theory compilation post soon--and this time I want your help! Because I'm sorry but there is no way I am going to read all 3k+ comments of that log. (I will, however, be checking the interviews thread specifically for stuff to use as rumors, so if you're on there, I'm gonna see it!)

BASICALLY, If you want word of your character's powers/echoes/whatever specifically to spread to the local kooks, comment here and tell me what they did at the fight or what you think the rumors should be and I'll be happy to try and include it! All the rumors will, as per usual with the Fentons, be very silly and probably spectacularly inaccurate.

He was dressed all in black except for his white skull mask and wielding a sword as big as he is. And firing arcs of black energy. He kind of was an asshole and made way too many tiny snakes with his attacks. he's 2spoopy

GRANNY IVY IS IN THE INTERVIEW THREAD. She fought some snake scales by whacking them with her weighted handbag using her super granny vampire strength. Both times she started off solo-ing the snakes and ended up finishing one off with Kara's help and the other with Arthur's. Fun fact, super granny strength can make dents in snake scales.

Areonwen the Arabian Horse repeatedly gave ride on her back to people fleeing the business district, helping them reach safety at Thorir's store. Afterwards she had roast veggies at the Shawarma place with Shou and others and then Shou rode her around after (because his car was totaled in the fight) and delivered shawarma to the needy and the numbered.

two words: giant robots

There was some crazy chick in blue and white clothes that flew around wielding two blue and white striped katanas. At one point she hijacked someone's pink Cadillac with horns on the hood and drove like a maniac with some other chick on top, attacking scale snakes.

(This is what she was wearing, sans thigh-highs because those were the swords.)

... Also I didn't thread this anywhere but when she transformed, this happened (NSFW). With the lights, the pole, and the music.

Okay, whether Toushirou himself gets noticed is debatable -- I'll leave that up to you -- but if he did, he was in dark clothes and had his head covered, obviously enough a kid from his lack of height. And the reason I say it's debatable that he gets noticed himself is that he was flinging GIANT RED-EYED ICE DRAGONS around. Those are just a bit distracting, you know? People might easily have been too freaked to notice the source. Said ice dragons would crash into the snakes and freeze them solid, sometimes plowing them down hard enough to make holes in the street.

Alex was running around as a blue, centaur-shaped thing, whacking at the smaller snakes with a bladed tail, and not especially caring if any normies saw him. He changed back to human afterwards. I'm totally fine with anyone having seen him as an Andalite, or even changing back. He tried to do it out of sight, but he wasn't exactly vigilant about it.

There was some other crazy chick running around too. She was hacking up snakes with a red sword that's half a pair of giant scissors and making a bunch of noise.

She also ended up in a crazy fight with the striped-katana-girl until they put aside their differences and stole a pink Cadillac for the greater good.

Also, she was dressed like this.

Julien was there! He fell off a tall building with the shockwave and got wings on the way down. Then he was out of sight for a while before running around as a very tall harpy-thing with a large gun, mostly telling people to move and get running. There are more than a few pictures of him, and he's got the hair. Recognition factor will keep him from escaping the game.

I'd prefer him to be seen as benign or not terribly dangerous, at least. I really should hit up the interviews thread...

I can't guarantee them seeing him as benign or harmless, at best just a lot of confusion and debate over whether to demonize him or not.

True! Still, he's very recognizable and has a lot of friends who might be inclined to say something.

Bakura and Diabound were invisible most of the time, but were digging people out, meaning some invisible force was flinging bits of wreckage around and scooping people out. Some of which were carried to the nearest clinic/hospital/rescue center.

Octavia has an interview thread so she's covered and Nathaniel doesn't stand out at all BUT Ellie could have been spotted turning into the female titan. While she was wearing her Thunder Corp security uniform. OOPS

Her face wasn't visible because the uniform includes a visor, so if she was spotted then descriptors would probs be limited to "short and Thunder Corpy."

A zombie and a unicorn were both gallivanting during the fight, I say from the account of the character who I've not referenced!

Anthony went in partial Renaissance-Europe-style armor courtesy of Alexander Varista (badly) swinging a sword nearly as long as he is; Cinderella rode in with Luke, and took a jaunt on her own asking civilians if she could borrow their cell phones.

He was wearing a hood and cap to cover his face but a kid slinging around water balls and fire balls is sure to be noticed right? He was beating up mini-snakes here and there, but for the most part doing parkour-like stuff all the way to the area of the business district with a whole lot of big companies/corporations. He was in a hurry.

You can do whatever you want with that o7

Neku and his flashy light puck maaaay have gotten noticed, but out of mine the whole 'giant death monster thing' probably got a decent amount of attention. obviously no one has any idea that that thing is a child.

Feel free to ask ARE THE FBI INVOLVED WITH IT AND HOW MUCH DO THEY KNOW, since Gerald was around trying to evacuate people and was then promptly interviewed as a form of "damage control."

I believe there was already something circulating about Xander's shadow ability when he rescued people during the earthquake back in December. So, a few people probably reported seeing more of him when he was helping out again.

Well, there's this asshole for one. He had a giant robot! A giant, green sniper robot that was not just shooting at the Wise Snake, but hopping across and onto buildings, taking pot shots at the bigger scale-born snakes, and generally providing support where he could and fighting alongside OTHER giant robots. You'll notice him in the interviews thread, too.

Meanwhile there was also Lily/Cure Moonlight, who... was all over the freaking place. Being fast and light and agile does that. Long story short on her is: magical girl in a silver dress smashed through dozens of scale born snakes, frequently shooting energy everywhere and becoming a comet-like ball of pure kinetic force and light PRETTY OFTEN. Fought alongside a lot of people. Made no effort to hide herself, and if she had it wouldn't have mattered, since her girlfriend ended up on national TV. Whoops.

Feel free to use either of these and make them as insanely inaccurate as possible~

There was a weird girl in a hood waving a stick and shooting lightening at the small snakes for the entire battle.

Also, she may or may not have had a halo.

So. There was a crazy special sports car - yes, with this sunset orange sparkly color too - zipping around the place ramming into the smaller snakes and the like. The driver also was armed and was shooting at said snakes or tossing pipe bombs into said snakes. The driver also seemed to drive very well for someone int eh middle of a war zone and his reflexes were pretty cool but what surprises a lot of reports about the car is that it did get totaled and somehow the driver was able to RIP his way out of the car.

Later on, there was a meeting of several of the heroes of the hour at a local food place in which a very flashy Japanese guy ordered a ton of food for everyone, paid in cash, and then rode his horse out and went back into the thick of things delivering food.

Adding in another giant robot here - this one was a very eye catching neon yellow! He fought alongside some of the other giant robots with a huge buzzsaw in place of his right arm, and then suddenly shrunk down to about six foot just before the snake was defeated. After that he was caught briefly on camera romantically embracing another robot.

Some huge dickless asshole ran around wreaking havoc and roaring a lot before another huge dickless asshole wrestled him down, after which he suddenly went to attack Wise Snake. People probably saw him collapse and disintegrate, though, so he must be dead now, right?

Maybe not as notable with the giant people and robots and snake rampaging through town, but there was a red and black dinosaur thing running around during the snake attack. Depending on how a thread goes and how likely witnesses are, it may or may not have been seen fighting a lesser snake. (But I'm cool with no one catching it and everyone thinking it's some other snake-related thing or otherwise Bad News)

Size-wise we're looking at a little taller and longer than an utahraptor! Last seen running away from the business district with potential sightings on the outskirts of town.

Tiny blood haired child was zipping around in the air....with strange looking wings and threw out lots of colored balls of light.

Holly was flying around all over the business district and using all of her different cards through out it. She had her wings from Fly and used Firey a lot with Earthy second. Windy and Watery were used sparingly and mostly she used them in the air.

BELATEDLY adding yet another Giant Robot, this time of the big, black angry variety. Probably seen attempting to punch both the Wise Snake and the smaller snakes with his bare hands or shooting them with a giant cannon. He was about 25' tall for a while, before shrinking to around 6' post-fight.

... and then being caught on camera being ... romantic... with another robot. They totally made out on camera.

Oh man, I would love to see Jake being touted in the conspiracy theory circuit, especially considering his personal views of conspiracy theorists!

Jake spent most of the time literally flying as he tried to save and help people. His other powers are pretty nondescript: he's really good with a gun. He was wearing his standard fare; a pair of cargo pants, a black shirt, a green overshirt. He's pretty boring, outfit-wise.

Near the end of the day he was briefly seen in a pretty ridiculous yellow outfit, and he high-tailed it home shortly after echoing back the clothes.

It might be worth noting that he's pretty clumsy! He tripped in midair more than once and just about every almost-heroic rescue he managed was followed up with him faceplanting on the asphalt. Flying is hard!

Ski mask wearing pixies flying around with a fiery sword and made magical lights come down from the sky. Do as you will with this information.

A tiny midget in a red riding hood cape and space spandex pulling people out vehicles and helping people escape from snakes. No one has seen his face and I can't think of anything else funny so do what you will.

SUPER LATE but Kotetsu was dressed in a modified version of this minus the cape and bottom half, if you want to do something with that! He was seen springing around glowing blue, punching minisnakes and snatching civilians to safety with pretty absurd speed/strength :|b

ALSO SUPER LATE BUT HERE WE GO Luke was an elven warrior who was riding a unicorn at least part of the time, and chucking bombs the rest of the time.
