Player: Fae Character: Killian Ryan/Kíli | The Hobbit Echo: The Lonely Mountain/Erebor! Last of the Great Dwarf Kingdoms of Middle-earth and the whole point to the quest.
So other than the fact that it is a giant mountain which is totally amazing for protection on its own, it has a Dwarven Kingdom inside it. Huge forges, amazing statues, plenty of space to hide and stay if someone needs it. It could also come with the literal ocean's worth of gold, gems, and other precious metals that in Middle-earth was Smaug's bed but that's optional since I am pretty sure that would utterly destroy the economy. But seriously, we need protection from mobs, cults, and aliens? This thing has withstood a dragon.
The mods could decide if it's post-Smaug, which means the front gate is sealed and kinda destroyed and there'd be a lot of repairs to do and no way in except the side door which would require a map, a key, and knowing what the heck Durin's Day is, or it could be just pre-Smaug, which has everything more or less shiny and clean and intact. Or some mix of the two, either way!
