Player Plot Coordination!
Hi! This post is meant to serve as a space to coordinate a player plot involving some kidnappings and Mafia stuff, beginning in earnest on August 9. Relevant characters are Cesar, Rex, L, Tony, Dirk, and Richard, not to mention the greatly desired and utterly vital NPCs!
Timeline of events is that they will begin on August 9 when Tony is kidnapped on his way to work. The plot will last roughly a week, culminating in the rescue and safe return of Anthony Sparado and Lazarus Lawliet.
We want to do it right and make sure no one is left behind or unpleasantly surprised, so gather round and witness the basic plot outline. The comments section is for juicy details and fine-tuned planning; a lot was already gone over on Plurk but any further questions can probably be addressed and answered pretty efficiently in this format. :)

The bare bones of this plot are that prior to the Mafia stuff blowing up in the last few weeks, waaaay back in March, Cesar Salazar's brother Moises went missing while in Greece. Two weeks after that, in early April, Cesar hired a certain obsessive private investigator to look into it... while serving as a Mafia informant to keep his captive brother alive. While Cesar has been struggling with the burden of leaking information on his fellow Numbered, L has been cobbling together an infiltration and rescue plan. Armed with fluency in a Sicilian dialect of Italian and a soul-crushingly comprehensive knowledge of torture methods, he is posing as one Alessandro Chiaramonte, a fictitious but highly qualified interrogator, in an attempt to spring Moises. He's been in contact with Albero's people and has an in.
What he doesn't know is that on August 9, his employee and friend Anthony Sparado will go missing, taken by the same people who have Moises held in Locke City. His attempt to rescue Moises will be complicated by the fact that there is one more prisoner than he preemptively accounted for, and he'll be outed thanks to leaked information, courtesy of Rex. Two prisoners will become three. Unfortunately, L's reputation as an obsessive meddler somewhat precedes him; he knows a lot of people, and is therefore a pretty valuable source of information for anyone who can get it out of him. L will make a rushed pact with Tony to not share anything, regardless of what is threatened or done to either of them. Torture will be utilized, but when it fails to yield desired results, Tony and Moises will be used as leverage to get L talking. Moises will die, and Anthony very nearly will, and they will be rescued by Dirk and Richard in the eleventh hour.

Cesar's brother. A soccer player and an all-around good guy who was backpacking in Greece when the Mafia snatched him up way back in March. They've been treating him badly and using him to blackmail Cesar into leaking info about Numbered individuals. He's in pretty poor health by this time.
Albero???
This is solely up to mod discretion. I would love for L to actually meet Albero and pass, for a little while at least, as the role he's assuming. However, if he cannot get this close, that is absolutely fine by me.
