Mini plot post for November 6th

PLOTTING POST

This format of plot post is designed for players to ask questions and find ways to influence the plot. Be bold and ask what you can or can't do; the worst that can happen is that we will say no. As plots in Save the Earth are not self resolving nor on a time limit they can evolve in many ways. Although some potential outcomes are given, they are little more than suggestion and can be changed by character action. What role you take is up to you.

The post is also open for players to plot and coordinate between one another.

Starting on the 8th of November, there will be some developments that start out in the Neuschwanstein Area but soon go global...reach America as well.

8-11

Everyone who tries to use the teleporter from or to Germany will encounter a strange sight: There are wolpertinger at the entrance to the cave, as if they wait for something... They all stay somewhat hidden, clinging to the rock far up or squeezed under the wooden path, and won't make any attempt to approach anyone. A similar sight can be had around the Hotel Lilie, and wherever one or multiple numbered live or frequently spend time at. It's as if they are trying to stay as close to the next numbered as possible, as if they provide protection from some unknown danger...

10-11

Wolpertinger that have dogs or other pets in the mix will start to approach numbered with a behaviour closely resembling the pet component's. If the numbered in question treats them nicely, they can be adopted and will then continue to behave like aforementioned pet component until further notice (with all good and bad pet habbits that cats, bunnies, budgies etc have...). You can try to take them home outside of the echo boundaries but it might be traumatizing.

14-11

Suddenly, there are ghosts in the ghost zone... and most of them are pretty aggressive (mostly because they are scared shitless) and will attack people on sight. They do look suspiciously like Wolpertingers...

17-11

Ghost-Wolpertingers, still aggressive and attacking everyone on sight, have left the ghost zone and are roaming all three echo boundaries. They will attack numbered and non-numbered alike, yet it seems like they are specifically looking for numbered.

File: Ghost Wolpertinger
Description: They can show up anywhere in the real world where a portal opens, which means pretty much everywhere at this time. They can become invisible and intangible for shorter or longer periods of time, can possess people (have fun being possessed by a freaked out cat-swan-hamster mix), and can fly - even those who do not have wings.
How to combat them: There are three ways: 1) Calm them down enough to leave safely or run fast enough. 2) Bait or force them out of the echo boundaries: They will simply dissolve into thin air. 3) Fight! They are like fleshy sacks of ectoplasm, and anything that causes them to leak that ectoplasm is harmful. The key is to break the thick skin and give them as many and as large open wounds as possible. Any and all weapons can be used.

Please direct questions regarding these plot points to the thread below and not the post in general.

elian is so adopting a wolpertinger my lord

Can they go through teleporters from Boundary to Boundary without falling apart?

HAHAHAHHAHAHA YOU'RE WELCOME ♥

With that said, Elian had an echo approved that allows him to do his own sort of teleporting; would this also result in the death of the creature?
wastingtime: 30 Seconds to Mars - "From Yesterday" (he's a stranger to some)

There's usually a walk/path of some sort, but they never elaborate on the specific science of it. I usually equate it with the idea of wormholes, but...robot science.

The way I see it is this- since Elian's able to go through the spacebridge without losing Echoes, it doesn't count as being outside of the boundaries. (Especially since it fails if he attempts to use it to travel outside). Or, hell, the whole Echo boundary carries in to it, like poking a hole between two sealed containers and letting air travel between both but nowhere else.

I'm fine with it being either way! If it's too much of a headache let's just call it 'nope' and be done with it. I thrive on this kind of thing, myself, but I know it can be confusing.
