Mod Announcements / PLOT POST
Heya guys, this is pretty long overdue but here we go...!
First off, thank you thank you thank you to everyone who threw in a mod application over the last week. I know it's cheesy, but it really warms my heart to see people so invested and interested in the future of this game; above everything else, it's our full intention as the mods to continue making this as enjoyable as possible for all of you, and I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the patience you've shown us. THANK YOU.
With that said, we have brought on two more peeps as full mods- Blue and Krystal, who will be now be helping on everything from the plot to... well, basically everything. :D They will soon be available to answer questions and will before long begin such things as processing apps and Echoes as well. WISH THEM LUCK.
And now, what many of you have been waiting for more information on I know-
Current happenings and info on the upcoming plot.
• For now, everything listed on the last plot post remains pertinent, including what little info can be dug up on David Proud. Where he lives and currently works from are a mystery, any past addresses for either a dead end, with people who have never heard of him living where he used to - and employees who haven't seen him in years, respectively.
• Some time during the last few days, the forum where "No One" first put forward the idea of negotiating has gone down after the replies tapered off. How odd.
• There is also a new addition to what can be seen at the museum. Nearby the suspicious wolf statue, there is a cage behind a roped barrier, and in the cage is one of these things, a Galah. While odd enough on its own, should any of the reincarnated characters get near it, it will promptly begin to Freak Out, which will quickly be noted by at least one of the security guards stationed in the area.
For those who have a very keen eye, they may notice that the bird seems to have tiny humanlike thumbs where a wing's alula would be, and its eyes are a little... off. Similar to touching both statues, setting off the bird will cause suspicion to rise, albeit far more sharply. Exactly when it begins settling down (in other words, when whoever is making it agitated leaves) will be noted as well.
• Up until now, entering the mine has not proven to give participants anything interesting, but starting the twelfth, Wednesday, is when anyone who happens to wander in may meet the Sage of Earth. As mentioned before, he will only be willing to give answers once more people have gathered within the mines. He's also fully willing to wait a few days for people to be informed and gathered.
THIS IS A TRAP. Sorry.
All of those who are physically present for the Sage's speech - aside from an automatic Echo - will be subject to a yet to be seen unhappy time of things during their visit, whereas they will be in danger of losing their lives. Please keep this in mind when planning whether or not your character will attend.
I know many of you have already been laying out plans, so I'll let you continue on with that with this new kink thrown into the mix too. I strongly suggest that things be forward-dated here by at least a few days, so we don't run into as many continuity snags like with the hunting and fighting the werewolf/dog police- and so that anyone who might be connected to the network at the same time things are happening in the mines may have a chance to react in real time as well.
As always, please direct questions for the mods regarding these plot points to the thread below and not the post in general. Thank you!

TERRIBLE INJURY / DEATH PARTY
THIS IS A THREAD FOR PLANNING ON EITHER
> Having your character MAYBE get horribly injured to the point of near-death (this obviously depends on the nature of the trap we're facing)
> Having your character actually die. With the usual caveat of this is a permadeath game so barring your character having special powers that let them escape said fate... yeah
> If your character HAS HEALING POWERS, or can get them in time, note so in here

Re: TERRIBLE INJURY / DEATH PARTY
HOWEVER, if Alex IS noticeably injured and NOT healed, then it's likely he'll want to shack up with someone else for the night/day/whatever (to avoid his roommate). SO!! Potential CR opportunities?!

Not death, but I was thinking serious if not life-threatening injuries? Like cracked ribs/etc. Though hmmm I wouldn't want him to be out of commission too long either so I suppose putting Kotetsu in here depends on if healer-y people want to be in this group.
CHRIS/STARSCREAM
I am NOT getting her body destroyed to THAT degree here. I'm up for losing a limb, potentially, because she could get those back via echo given that all those will drastically change her body anyway. I mean if the mods OK that idea anyway. And even if not, she could just BUILD a new arm. Woo.
Also, if anyone has magical healing, depending on how good it is, as long as Chris' body doesn't sit too long, with how the Spark works, her body could have some pretty bad brain damage and such as long as it gets "repaired" enough to be functional. We're talking "If you can reconnect a removed heart, her spark could get it pumping again, probably"
She'd just need the outside help to jumpstart the body into functioning again, and the Spark will do the rest.
Citation: Starscream transplants the sparks of a bunch of convicts into a bunch of rusted out WWII relics in the cartoon and they wake up just fine and transform. So as long as the body is intact, the Spark can kickstart it (and Starscream possesses organic life in the comics in a few cases)
Again though, this is all prettty drastic. I may just go for a nasty injury.
TL;DR -- Mostly interested in not life-threatening or life-threatening but recoverable, but am up for more if other people can help.

Anthony is not regenerating, but can take most anything short of certainly-lethal abuse; Shawn, meanwhile, is durable, and his preincarnation is a ghost to put it simply - perhaps a tangible-intangible plane-shifting Echo may be in the cards.

Possible healing?

...but I'm open to beating him up so he can. \o/
Possible Healing +1
I am... fine with some injury, not death. xDD He is sadly new and therefore bitty and may really kind of... die, though. sob.

BUT YEAH... she's not one of those people who have magical powers in her preincarnation, so she's normal aside from knowing how to use guns and knives. I'm totally up for healers nearby to, you know, heal her... XD
Re: TERRIBLE INJURY / DEATH PARTY
Colette is going to get hurt badly but Aeron is going to protect her so she won't die or anything of the sort. JUST... REALLY HURT. Her cruxis crystal will also help in the whole Not Dying thing, since I'll probably echo it in time so that she'll have increased endurance as well.
Thinking about having her go unconscious though SO IF ANYONE WANTS TO DRAG HER FROM THE MINE...

worriedpissed off when Colette gets hurt like that. He probably won't be much use with potential dragging because hahaha tiny. But he'd try to cover the escape of whoever's dragging her or something.(no subject)

I'M A DCTOR, JIM, NOT A WIZARD
He probably won't be hurt himself, because healers are at a premium in our party right now.
