Hello everyone, my name is The Guindo and I am coming to you with that roommate Alex keeps mentioning.

This is Ravindra Savarna, an OC. He is basically Socially Awkward Penguin. One of those shy, self-conscious, introverted, socially anxious types. Also stubborn and passive-aggressive, so that's fun.

He is formerly a Templar/paladin of a crystal-dragon-jesus religion who abandoned his god and country after a surprise military operation resulted in the loss of his friends and family. Thanks for the betrayal, country he used to love! Anyway that means he is a holy type and will eventually have the power to magically heal others. Heard y'all were lacking in that particular area.

In this incarnation, Ravi is a combat medic turned RN who works night shifts at the university hospital's ER. He is Alexander Varista's roommate and best bro; if you know Alex, you may know him as 'Vin.' He will be very quick to correct you. That also makes him Gomez/Arhu's roommate! Come to me, kitty-teenager!

There's potential for pre-existing CR in the fact that he is ex-Army, stationed at Ft Turner with two Iraq deployments, and also in that he got his nursing degree from LCU. There's a timeline on his info post if you want to check whether the timing lines up for CR.

I do not have a plurk (gasp!), but I am very easy to get ahold of. My e-mail is theguindo@gmail.com, and I will respond promptly if I'm not asleep or at work (I work graveyards so my free time is generally early evenings PST). OH MAN MORE ARMY CR FANTASTIC. AWESOME. Aaron had an HPSP scholarship, so spent four years active/four inactive in the U.S. Army as a doctor.

ugh I need to sort out his timeline. Let me see -- his years of active duty (2002-2006) were spent in the Middle East, stationed in Saudi Arabia and deployed to Iraq. Will get back to you on the details, since up until now I haven't had to figure out exactly when he was deployed, but I'd love to have them know each other!

As for what Aaron's up to now, he opened a sketchy charity clinic about two years ago in a very sketchy part of town, and up until recently dealt weed to help cover costs. He does good work, though, despite appearances.

Ravi was in Iraq 03-04 on the front lines of OIF so that looks like it lines up. Maybe we could have Aaron be the doctor he was working under out there? I put in his app that he learned a lot of things that were technically outside his scope of practice bc the Army doctors were like FUCK IT I DON'T HAVE TIME TO DO THIS MYSELF, so if that's the sort of thing Aaron would do...

If they know each other & are on good terms, then Ravi might volunteer at the clinic once a week or so, too.

Oh, definitely! If it needed to be done and Ravi showed an aptitude for learning things on the fly, Aaron would definitely take advantage of that. I'd say they're on good terms for sure: I can't think of a reason Aaron would have anything against Ravi.

As for whether Ravi volunteers or not, that depends. They likely fell out of touch after their time working together ended, and if you want to play out them recognizing each other/realizing they're both in Locke City, then Ravi could start volunteering at a point in-game. If you want to say Ravi heard about Dr. Strider's clinic a while back, then that's cool too, and he'd know the other doctor there (Mordin Solus, testsonseashells) and a young man who works there part-time (Julien Sakazaki, espigeonage). Up to you!

Oh, that is absolutely possible! Cops bring patients in all the time, and frequently get called in to deal with violent patients, too. Plus they have to stick around and stand guard if they bring in a criminal for care, so there's plenty of opportunities for CR even without him getting admitted as a patient himself.

Ravi would use his rank+surname, force of habit thanks to the Army. I don't see a rank on your app/info pages; is it Sergeant Kaburagi?

AWESOME! haha, i mentioned him probably having been in bc he's sort of notorious for being reckless in canon and gets hurt a lot :x he's less reckless in his reincarnation but he still has a dangerous job and i figure it's most likely he's been hurt at least once or twice in the fifteen or so years he's been doing it.
