saveyourselves | Plot post for (late) July 11th

It's been quiet, hasn't it? That's about to change.

Everyone who signed up here will be getting a super-special PM from us soon- PLEASE CHECK YOUR MESSAGES ON THE ACCOUNT YOU REPLIED WITH.

Basically, the next week or two is not going to be directly outlined this time, given there's about fifteen different things that chosen characters will experience or run into over the next while; how things are handled from here depends on how the characters react.

Some of you may have special instructions about plotting, but for those of you who are free to share, you're welcome to discuss here. As a side note, we won't be ruthlessly hunting down anyone who accidentally spills the beans on something or whatever, but the "please" does stay in place.

General plotting is encouraged as well, and as always, please direct questions for the mods to the specified thread below and not the post in general.

Meanwhile, bear in mind that from the time this month's strange experiences start onwards, the Locke City police department will be on the active lookout for suspicious public behavior! (Feel free to have characters in law enforcement pick up on this fact, by the way!)

Photography, martial arts, and Japanese stuff, you say? I think he and Hajime need to run into each other somehow.

...though Hajime will probably laugh at his cooking if that comes up, because his family owns a restaurant and kind of wonders how people can fail so hard at it.

Heya~ Yup! Riku is half japanese, but he was brought up in Japan and he's fluent in the language/still has connections. :D

Hajime is into photography too? Riku is a freelance photographer, ~~which is my way of handwaving HES EVERYWHERE~~ and he likes taking cityscapes and nature shots, but he also does commissions for people and covers events and people sometimes! c:

....SOB DONT MOCK HIM WITH WHAT HE CANT HAAAVE. He's not hopepless, but man everything he does ends up /charred/. Oh does their family run a japanese restaurant in Locke? Riku might come in if so, probably expecting americanized japanese food. xD

Yeah, it's a hobby of his. He wishes he could do freelance/make that his job, but HEY family restaurant responsibilities say otherwise. So, yeah, they run a restaurant that's got pretty traditional stuff, and he will be HIGHLY INSULTED if Riku comes in there wanting the Americanized stuff, because he's a food snob where Japanese food's concerned. XD

xD Riku had to cut off family ties and to hell with responsibility for the job, so hey at least you still have your family, Hajime!

LOL no no, he'd go in expecting it and being like "well its better than nothing" but probably be pleasantly surprised. ~~NO CALIFORNIA ROLLS. THANK GOD.~~ I could see him starting to frequent the store from there on. xD Thoguh can also just be a log to intro chars. He would also most likely often be seen with an SLR around his neck. :>

He could walk in right as Hajime was being all "YOU WANT CALIFORNIA ROLLS? GET OUT" at a belligerent customer, even. XD

Walking around with the SLR is good, that would possibly even get Hajime to start up a conversation of some sort, hehe.

FFT I am completely sold on this idea. XDD

Yup, they can compare their lenses and camera models and aperture settings and whatnot. xD Riku has a retired mentor of sorts who taught him and helps him get jobs when pickings are lean, but I don't think he has any camera buddies, so it'd be pretty refreshing for him. :>

Did you want to set up a log for them to meet, though, or assume it already happened? Am fine with either !

I'm fine with either option too, to be honest! But I've got to say, playing out "No California rolls" might be kind of funny, hehe.

Hm, maybe on the 17th, then? Hajime's probably going Horrible Bug Monster at the end of the week, and generally giant roaches are not permitted to be inside restaurants.
