Hi everyone! I'm Bri, and I'm brand new here. I've never played in an AU game before, but I've been stalking this one a bit and I'm really excited to play here!

I'm bringing in Nick Burkhardt from Grimm! In his old life, he was a homicide detective who was also a descendant of the original brothers Grimm. Grimms are basically assassins, people who have the ability to see the fairy tale creatures called Wesen that hide from everyone else, and then hunt down and kill them. Nick himself prefers to arrest them, and only go after the criminal ones, which apparently makes him the odd man out among his ancestors.

Here in Locke City, Nick is also a homicide detective! But this time he's boring, with no Wesen-hunting activities on the side. He's been here for a few years, so if there's any other police officers, or anyone who might have had dealings with the police (either through being arrested, being an informant or witness, anything) who want existing CR, that'd be awesome! And of course there's the usual cousins and neighbors and such that'd be great, too!

Hey, there! Welcome aboard! I'm, uhh, Nick and I play the local pickpocket/petty thief around here: Vanessa, formerly Vin of the Mistborn Trilogy. I'm a fan of the show too although way too far behind on it right now.

Like I said, Vanessa grew up as a street kid who made money by stealing. During her first Echo (being chased by terrifying monsters) she kind of... reacted poorly and ended up pushing a patrolman in pursuit of her off a fire escape so I'd be down for a plot around that if that's something you'd be interested in having Nick investigate. Anything to make my characters' lives harder.

Hi Nick! I've heard of the Mistborn series! It's on my list of things to read, I think I might have to bump it up.

Oh, man, that'd definitely be something I'd be interested in! If the patrolman was killed, Nick could easily be someone the case was assigned to, and even if he was just injured, Nick'd definitely be very interested in finding the person who did it. Right now he's really black and white about the law, so it'd be great to have to have him deal with extenuating circumstances like Echoes.

I highly recommend it, it's one of my favorites.

I intentionally left exactly what happened to the cop up in the air in case it ever came back to haunt her so either one works. My app is loaded with Mistborn spoilers so the jist is that she got caught up in a robbery on a cash truck that went poorly that turned into a foot chase that went down an alley. She ended up making a getaway up the fire escape when her Echo hit, the cop grabbed her and she shoved him over the side acting purely on instinct. So, Nick would probably have a general description of her (female, caucasian, dark hair, around five feet tall). I'll add you on Plurk (Dr_Nicksano) or you can PM me if you want to hammer out any details.

Welcome to the game! My name is Knight and I play Shuji Kiyokumi (Eiji Hino, the title character of a Japanese superhero show called Kamen Rider OOO). I'm just popping in to let you know that Shuji's only been in the city for a month or so, but he's also a detective. He doesn't specialize in anything particular yet, more of a general information gathering type. He keeps to himself a lot, but it's likely Nick has seen him around. Shuji's English ability is... decent, but he is very clearly Not From Around Here. I'll be tossing a few threads up with him in the next couple weeks if you want to drop in. o/

I'm Alec and I play this guy here - not!Gackt Sho from a movie about friendship, growing up, gangsters and vampires aka Moon Child. In his former life, he was a street kid turned mob boss turned vampire. In this life, he's a trust fund bby that likes fast cars, dating and not being responsible. He might actually be a slightly familiar face around the station - Shuji is his cousin and Shou himself is a slight troublemaker of the 'gee was I really going that fast?' variety.

It's got camp and can be a bit silly, but what do you expect when Japanese rock stars write the script and then act out the parts they wrote?

He's Japanese and rather proud of it, tends to flirt at the drop of a hat, has a good understanding of English most days but tends to toss Japanese swears when he thinks people aren't taking him serious.

He also drives a very cool car. Ultra sleek, extremely expensive and tricked out to the gills.

I'm Myth and I play Riku here who is a photographer- not police by a long shot, but he's an outdoorsy type and fairly athletic/versed in martial arts. So, I've been tinkering with this idea for a while-- investigative photojournalism. The plot is such that we do have a newbie guide with all pertinent data and a lot of mystery, but I've been wondering about getting Riku into some nancy drew moments for photos. Since Nick is a homicide detective, this may not be exactly his cup of tea, but otherwise, Riku can probably share what photos he has of various things/go along on investigations later on? although his roomie will probably kill him. Doooesn't have to be immediate at all, though, so no pressure! c:

Hi! :D I don't think it'd count as a horror show? It's more along the lines of Buffy or Supernatural levels of horror; there's dead bodies and some tense moments, but I think it's more of a drama.

I'm excited to see Riku here! I haven't played the Kingdom Hearts games myself, but I know all about them, and I love him. And actually, that sounds really awesome! Nick's willing to work with civilians, and even if it's not strictly homicide, he'll be interested in trying to figure this stuff out. Especially as some of his old personality comes back, then he'll be more than happy to take Riku along in investigations.

Sob, supernatural season 1 makes me unable to sleep. T___T I'm contemplating if I'd actually feel better with later seasons when its not so focused on the folktales...

Eeeep in that case, yeah, you might not want to watch it. Each episode of Grimm is more or less based on a fairy tale, so if the folktale thing is what gets you, it might be best to avoid it.

A lot of my friends have played it, and told me all about it! And I used to play with a Kairi and a Riku. In the beginning, Nick is going to be super in denial about any police involvement, so low key is really good, since he doesn't want anyone on the force to know what he's up to. xD it does! But Nick has a history of awesome sidekicks, so it works for him.

Oh, man, bloody mary. That episode even gets me a little. Grimm's mostly fantasy horror, but there's definitely some every day elements, with crime scenes and all. It might be best to give it a pass, then, as awesome as it is.

Nick will try to resist the urge! It might be hard as he gets more of his memories, though, he's kind of a troll in canon. xD I don't have one yet, but I'm going to put up his intro either tonight or tomorrow, so one will be up soon!
