thank god they get new names here--aragorn II elessar telcontar is a ridiculous mouthful
Hi guys! I'm Krystal, and I'll be playing Aragorn from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
Only here his name is Dr. Aaron Strider, long-lost heir of nothing in particular. He's an ex-Army doc who left the military as soon as he'd paid his medschool debt, traveled around for a while, then came to this city and opened up the LSR Clinic by the Dead District. It's pretty sketchy, since he mainly treats people without insurance/who couldn't pay for anything better. Strider does damn good work, even if it's not as well-supplied as he'd like it to be. Basically it's a charity, but he's had a hard time finding people to donate to it, so he sells weed on the side to cover supplies/operating costs.Hence his username. Yes, of course I take my characters seriously.
He's not nearly as creepy as he seems, I promise.
Anyway! I'm very excited to be here! Please do friend me on Plurk at
spartabitch because I would love to chat/plot with all of you! And if you think your character would know Aaron, whether from the army or association with the city's poor, I'm 100% up for hashing out shared backstory.

Do you want them to have run into each other in the military, or save their first meeting for in-game?

Just checking the timelines... it looks like they could have actually met up at some time early in Jack's career with the military. Which opens a world of possibilities for either positive OR negative CR, since some of Jack's actions were sketchy as hell and I don't think Dr, Aaron would approve AT ALL ... and also was charged for pretty blatantly murdering a bunch of civilians back then (he was acquitted but in actual fact he was guilty as hell). But he also had a year or so of proper soldiering in when he was a fresh recruit too.
NGL I love negative CR and the idea of someone in the game being aware of his old "Jack the Ripper" nickname, but I also love positive CR too!

Well plotwise as of TODAY in fact, that sure is Jack's face on the news, naming him as the main suspect in the murder of a family of eight. So that sure is a thing. (This time he didn't actually do it though, heh.) Other than that, after the trial was when he actually moved to Special Ops... you know, small squads out in the middle of nowhere... where nobody's going to complain if you mess around gutting insurgents. :P So yeah, nothing between the trial and now.
Sorry for making so many edits as I add things GAH
