Hi guys! I'm Krystal, and I'll be playing Aragorn from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.

Only here his name is Dr. Aaron Strider, long-lost heir of nothing in particular. He's an ex-Army doc who left the military as soon as he'd paid his medschool debt, traveled around for a while, then came to this city and opened up the LSR Clinic by the Dead District. It's pretty sketchy, since he mainly treats people without insurance/who couldn't pay for anything better. Strider does damn good work, even if it's not as well-supplied as he'd like it to be. Basically it's a charity, but he's had a hard time finding people to donate to it, so he sells weed on the side to cover supplies/operating costs. Hence his username. Yes, of course I take my characters seriously.

He's not nearly as creepy as he seems, I promise.

Anyway! I'm very excited to be here! Please do friend me on Plurk at spartabitch because I would love to chat/plot with all of you! And if you think your character would know Aaron, whether from the army or association with the city's poor, I'm 100% up for hashing out shared backstory.

Hi, I'm Skai, and I play this guy here, former special ops soldier Jack, who has a lot of problems. Mind you, number one right now is being framed for murder. Number two, in the future many Echos down the road, will be finding a doctor who's willing to help him out by playing with his crazy cyborg future tech.

Oooh this sounds excellent. I cannot promise that Aaron will be able to handle the technological side of things, but he's done work with prosthetics before, and once he regains some of his magical royal healing abilities, I'm sure those will help, too.

And come on, the weed isn't that bad. He'd be using it on his patients anyway, it pays for necessary supplies, and his product is never laced with anything harder. It's about as goody-two-shoes as breaking the law can possibly be. This is Aragorn.

I'm Sam, I'm playing Hajime Saitou from Hakuouki, who is currently the most uptight overachieving pre-med student from a nice family ever, so I can think of pretty much zero reason they'd be acquainted yet, but GOSH I want this CR, I may push his crazy healing factor down my Echo priority list.

Yeah, I can't imagine they've met before, but that's the nice thing about playing a doctor in an action game! And an uptight pre-med student + a drug-dealing but well-meaning doctor sounds fantastic to me.

I play this polite and dorky gentleman here, who is currently a somewhat overprotective biology teacher at the high school, and who will eventually become a very confused and overprotective werewolf :)

It's okay, I never made it past the second Parasol Protectorate book. We're even. I liked what I saw of Lyall, though! I'd love for them to develop a friendship, even if Aragorn tends to make bad first impressions on gentlemen. ....all his relationships here are going to start out kind of rocky, I think.

I'm Joysweeper, I have Yuuya/Julien here, a flirty superspy pigeon with a blackmailable heart of gold / a flirty meandering post-college student who's good but lazy and aimless. A sketchy taciturn heroic type... well, that sounds like someone he was quite fond of and pretty respectful towards in a past life.

Hmm. I don't see Julien indulging much himself, but he does have a very wide casual social circle, and getting those in it who are so inclined to buy from someone who'll put the money to good use sounds like perfect slacktivism. Though he's not super lazy... I feel like he'd want to help out somehow beyond that.

Dude, Aragorn! I'm super happy to see a Tolkien character here, I was a real Tolkien nerd as a teenager. (Although I haven't obsessively argued over facts in a while so I'm super rusty and forgetting a lot, oops.) Love the backstory you came up for him, btw!

Anywho, I'm Haley and this is Sasame from Pretear, now Sam Iwata. In his past life he was a magical knight that could manipulate the power of sound, now he's just a psych student at LCU with a love of music. He doesn't smoke and he's from a middle-class family so I doubt they'd have any past backstory but in a game this small they might end up running into each other!

Honestly, if this game had been more ridiculous, I would have had him as the leader of a gang of homeless vigilantes whose symbol of their secret society was a six-pointed star, but a vigilante hobo army was both a little too close to canon and didn't seem to fit with the feel of the game. But migrant-worker!modern!Rangers is a pet idea of mine that I'm very fond of.

BUT since he's learning he's actually a bug-monster, he now has green blood and kind of can't go to normal doctors anymore for obvious "but what if they need bloodwork?!" reasons. 8D
