Hi guys! I'm Krystal, and I'll be playing Aragorn from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.

Only here his name is Dr. Aaron Strider, long-lost heir of nothing in particular. He's an ex-Army doc who left the military as soon as he'd paid his medschool debt, traveled around for a while, then came to this city and opened up the LSR Clinic by the Dead District. It's pretty sketchy, since he mainly treats people without insurance/who couldn't pay for anything better. Strider does damn good work, even if it's not as well-supplied as he'd like it to be. Basically it's a charity, but he's had a hard time finding people to donate to it, so he sells weed on the side to cover supplies/operating costs. Hence his username. Yes, of course I take my characters seriously.

He's not nearly as creepy as he seems, I promise.

Anyway! I'm very excited to be here! Please do friend me on Plurk at spartabitch because I would love to chat/plot with all of you! And if you think your character would know Aaron, whether from the army or association with the city's poor, I'm 100% up for hashing out shared backstory.

Yeah it'd be something he'd feel good about and then go "Wow, actually, that is the laziest damn way to help anything, ever. What's wrong with me, I should do more."

...now and then, maybe. During the day. Eventually he's going to get an echo about how he worked in an infirmary and that'll make him want to do more - no official schooling either way, but like cleaning up, carrying stuff, things you can learn by watching.

...he'd like to get paid, not going to lie. Boy has amazing college debt. He got into something out of state and famous and now D: But considering everything, he's more likely to want to sort of barter. Is that the word? He might be able to put this on a resume, and that'd be his casual response to people asking. Also his sister and her daughter are insured medically but coverage is maybe not what it could be, and Julien's not insured at all. Likely he's got a number of people in similar straits among his social group too, and he might be casual friends with most of them but that doesn't mean he doesn't care when they're in trouble.

Barter sounds great! He'd treat Julien and anyone Julien brought in for free in exchange for a hand around the clinic. It's a better deal for them both, I think.
