PLOT POST FOR APRIL 26th

This format of plot post is designed for players to ask questions and find ways to influence the plot. Be bold and ask what you can or can't do; the worst that can happen is that I will say no. As plots in Save the Earth are not self resolving nor on a time limit they can evolve in many ways. Although some potential outcomes are given, they are little more than suggestion and can be changed by character action. What role you take is up to you.

The post is also open for players to plot and coordinate between one another.

Events occurring currently;

• Following the conflict with the 'werewolves' in the Dead District they have vanished, ordered to withdraw. Why? Who can fathom. However, the snake statue remains up in the area.

Events occurring in the immediate future:

• Nothing detectable for a period. A short breather period before the inevitable reactions come along. Perhaps now is the time to organise and speculate on the situation, as that is surely what the enemy are doing.

Events potentially occurring in the immediate future:

• Once the snake statue is destroyed... Nothing detectable for a period, but there will be a response. A slight change of the situation has occurred due to the fact the 'werewolves' were encountered first, however. The statue is now under observation by a few enemy agents posing as homeless people. Preemptively, they don't smell unusual or act unusually. Also... characters are pretty likely to get their asses kicked if they do start a fight.

Potential Echo Opportunities

Until the snake statue is destroyed, it can still be used to receive an Echo if anyone hasn't already. Although unlikely, if characters do enter conflict with the enemy agents they will receive an Echo.

Lyall did a little researching into the maker of the statue, Mr Proud. He's interested in maybe purchasing something of his work for investigation, if there's any conceivable way or there's anything within his price range-- if this possible? Or is there no means of contact/online store/whatever?

Has anyone at all attempted to capture/interrogate the werewolves? I'm still not sure if Aaron will snap out of it in time to tranq the one he's following, but if he comes back to himself, will he be able to sedate it?

A group wants to go and look at the statue on Friday during the day. Considering the presence of agents there, what is likely to happen?

Mostly they want to get a sketch (and also possibly some pictures) and then also look at it to see materials and such. They will definitely look obviously like students and if asked claim to be doing research for a project for their art class.

And random question not related to current plots, but may as well ask. How easy or hard would it be to make a fake student ID for the university for someone with pretty good photoshopping skills? Just something that looks legit since I know she'd not have the skill yet to fake the magnetic strip on the back to gain access to places with it.

Hello! I was just wondering if it would be okay to have Euphie here mild-to-moderately wounded during the werewolf excursion since it'd be a good point of talking CR for her.

Additionally, I was also wondering if I could have Ayden somewhat gnawed on or otherwise beat up by a werewolf since he falls under the category of homeless people refusing to clear out of the Dead District.

Finally-- The people hurt by werewolves aren't going to... turn into werewolves, are they? Because that would be unfortunate.

Actually, another question that was brought up by Audrey's post though it relates more to previous plot posts. I checked the other plot posts and didn't see any mentions of it. But if someone were to go looking online for some information on the Thunder Corporation, about what would they find?

Audrey's been closed up in her room for the past bit since her initial post on the network, re-reading former posts and noting down events and such. I'm planning to have her come forward with a few questions to ask once I've finished with the notes and such. I'm up for doing something with those notes eventually, since I haven't decided how she'll keep them so no one on the network may read them.

Also, I'm still very interested in getting in on the snake statue action. The werewolves were a little much for a rich girl like Audrey but she would be quite curious about the snake statue itself. Have I missed it being mentioned on the network or anywhere else perhaps that would give her a reason to go investigating it?

If you aren't up for destroying it maybe we could have a group go look. Maybe like around 4 or so of the college students who could easily fake that they got lost or they needed to find an interesting piece of art in the city for a school project or something. In a group they could likely get in and out safely as long as they don't try to hurt anyone here.

I know I'd like to have Tamara check it out as well but she's not wanting to risk it without at least safety in numbers.

Okay, in the aftermath of the "werewolf" encounter, Toushirou hasn't wound up hurt physically, though he's pretty shaken up by it. He's not going to be venturing into the Dead District for a little bit on account of this.

But. Even with that, he's a bit frustrated with himself for not being much good during the encounter, and he might be trying to find time and suitable places to practice his power so that he can do something useful with it. Also, now that his brain has had time to process the whole thing, he's trying to work out why the "werewolves" wanted to capture them instead of kill them.

Otherwise, he's up to normal things. Going to school, soccer practice, running errands for Granny when she's having a rough day. I welcome any and all chances for anyone to run into him or vice versa.

While you're here... interested in maybe dropping Alex by Lyall's classroom after school...? :) I was gonna PM you to ask if he might come to advise on ferret care and common traits and things (Lyall would have called, likely ^^ ), but since a plot post went up, this seems as good a place as any to suggest :B

I'm assuming that Hajime didn't suffer any injuries that were too bad as a result of werewolf fighting; I think it's plausible since he has superhuman reflexes back, and also since he nearly took Toshi's arm off he's going to be guiltily looking after him and doing things he can't do one-armed, so.

That aside: he floated the idea of putting the main points of what's happened together into a newbie guide of sorts, and I have that written up and waiting - I figured I'd save it for werewolf aftermath, and since it's a down week anyway, that'll probably be going up later tonight or otherwise this weekend! It's his plan to continue editing it as the plot progresses; the idea is just to have everything ready in bullet points for new characters who want to catch up fast instead of spending intro posts grilling people or having to assume they read the ever-growing backlog.

Emery's been observing the whole werewolf debacle with his arms folded and a furrowed brow: he's been worrying himself sick over his friends, of course, and contemplating what the unfortunate turn of events could mean in the long-term. It's been relatively easy to collect information via the network but as of yet he's not planning a big move. He's uh. Pretty aware that he's not a soldier / not physically useful / good at very much other than being a bit psychic and painting pictures.

Since it wouldn't really make sense for him to hope on the snake statue destruction thing so suddenly, maybe he could be part of the Speculator Team? As in, be available to talk to or what have you. Maybe he'll paint it before it comes down. His intuition is excellent and he's pretty good at being there for people, so. Yes. Come and use him as an agony aunt over a cup of tea and a tarot reading. Other than that he'll be around and about at work (barista at a veggie coffee house) / LCU (art major) / elsewhere (general layabout)!

No real plans for Bakura this week besides helping out with the statue smash. He's going to be just... stewing over the mess of memories he's gotten back, being just a touch bitter/jealous that he hasn't gotten any superpowers or senses yet, playing a lot of video games at the arcade, hanging out on campus, not doing his homework and ignoring his classes in school. Typical stuff.

Open for any plotting/planning anyone wants to do with him!

...is patching up any of you who got hurt. He's also dealing with the fact that he lost it during that mission -- the Echoes took over for a few minutes, and he was practically a different person. It freaked him out hardcore. So. Time to puzzle out what these monster-hunting memories and swordfighting skills mean.

Seriously though, I don't know how much longer I can keep up with her charade without making the tags uninteresting or hard to work with. Unless someone starts getting psychic powers or suddenly has the power to commune with animals (besides banagher -- thank u banagher your contribution to the ferret social group is greatly appreciated), I think it's time to toss in the towel with regards to her act. If you guys have any suggestions on how to make an animal character more interesting to work with, I'm all ears! I just don't want anyone to keep struggling to come up with ways to interact with her just so I can make activity.

Tbh, I do want this kid to meet that ferret sometime. Because this kid back then used telepathy in communicating with animals. It's useful when you're talking to your only best friend in your life, the dog.

As a note, if anyone engages Ayden in conversation he might be able to offer up the insight that those homeless people around the statue are really suspicious because he's certainly never seen them before. So far, Lucas is just lurking around the network. He's been staying out of trouble ever since he checked out the network and people told him stuff good job you guys and he's probably worried for those who joined, and especially those who he talked to.

I don't think he'll come and visit the statue anytime soon, unless someone tries to drag him there, I'm down with that. But otherwise, he might do school stuff, play more video games, or watch over his mom's flower shop, which I may post that one up eventually.

Hajime's going to be recovering from the whole werewolf thing (because that was kind of freaky even if he'd never admit it), and he'll be coming away from that knowing a weird new language that is totally lacking in words like "love" or "family," but is really good at describing battle scenarios, how odd.

He'll be avoiding the statue because he already went to touch it and remembered terrible things, but he'll be hanging around his family's restaurant as usual. I'm pretty open with my plans for him for this week, so hit me up if you want to do anything!

Sandy is still mostly trying to act like everything's anywhere near normal as opposed to exactly the kind of situation he prefers to run from. If he ran into any werewolves at all when he wandered into the Dead District like a chump last weekend, he's currently suppressing the hell out of it because what the ever-loving fuck?

There are various ways to pressure him into having anything to do with the snake statue, but otherwise he's mostly going to continue going about his day and playing it safe. I may put up a log post in the coming week(s) so anybody can swing by the music store (I'm still trying to think of a name that doesn't also make me think of cotton candy) for some convenient CR, and I'm open to suggestions for other stuff!

He is...having problems. It's been a shitty week for him, welp, and he got a scratch from the werewolf thing that basically puts him out of action for like, a few weeks.

So basically, he'll be at college, at the Starbucks (say hi to your friendly neighborhood barista, folks!), and walking Ice the adorable husky puppy. And also having a tiny crisis because he's been having nightmares that feature what little he remembers of the Red Wedding, plus the whole beheading thing, and that's not even bringing into account all the shit that's going down in the present. Feel free to bug him, though he won't open up about it.

I am so late BUT YEAH just throwing a thing up here to say that Lelouch/Brendan is kind of traumatized at the moment and probably looking for ways to take his mind off of it? He just got some echoes of ordering a shitton of people to be his slaves and also ordering some soldiers to kill themselves (now would be a good time to mention that he is not familiar with death/blood at all apart from a few very sanitized hospital visits to his mom and sister) so yeah, that.
