PLOT POST FOR APRIL 16TH
This format of plot post is designed for players to ask questions and find ways to influence the plot. Be bold and ask what you can or can't do; the worst that can happen is that I will say no. As plots in Save the Earth are not self resolving nor on a time limit they can evolve in many ways. Although some potential outcomes are given, they are little more than suggestion and can be changed by character action. What role you take is up to you.
The post is also open for players to plot and coordinate between one another.
Events occurring currently;
• The Thunder Corporation's Snake Statue remains up in the Dead District. The statue exudes a pseudo-Echo effect, which is undetectable to ordinary humans, trying to convince people to leave the area.
• In the same area, starting now, a large number of the huge homeless community within the Dead District will instead be found seeking new shelter. Should anyone question them, they will reveal they are being driven away by 'werewolves.' It is possible to encounter a 'werewolf' by coincidence by visiting the Dead District after dark.
Events occurring in the immediate future:
• Suspiciously quiet for now. The invasion forces are currently evaluating their opposition and making preparations. It won't last. Enjoy the quiet before the storm.
Events potentially occurring in the immediate future:
• Destroying the statue is a possibility. Doing so will shoot a pink light into the sky that will last a few seconds and set in motion a chain of events.
• Players may wish to put together a plan to investigate and potentially deal with the 'werewolves.'
Potential Echo Opportunities
The snake statue in the Dead District, and in police HQ, still offer one Echo at a touch. An encounter with a 'werewolf' will result in an Echo and successfully killing one will net one for everyone involved. Destroying the statue won't grant an Echo, but the events it will set in motion will. Canon parallels remain the constant option.
Please direct questions regarding these plot points to the thread below and not the post in general.

QUESTIONS
Re: QUESTIONS
1) Jack acquired the addresses/rap sheet info that Davin got for Lyall and was interested in pursuing any potential leads from that and finding out who goes where when. Given that Albero's uncle/cousins are dead (and the Chief lives in a gated community) AND that Jack still has to stay out of sight on the run, I've been assuming that this is probably fruitless... but figure I should ask if there are new leads at all anyway. =)
2) Jack also asked Kenji to run by his mother-in-law's house (where his family has been staying for the weeks now) once in a while and check for suspicious activity nearby. Anything?

ETA Durr hit post on accident >.<
They may have video surveillance on the second statue soon. Lyall's working on it with Elizabeth and Bakura. Will anything come up on that?

He won't go up to it close enough to see a LOT, but he's testing for smells, familiar faces, license plate numbers he can jot down, anything he might catch a glimpse of from whatever cover he can get. Anything he might see/smell/overhear? Or any trouble he might run into? ^^

Re: QUESTIONS
Also, how easily can they be killed, and what happens to them, if anything, upon death?
(now in the correct place)

even if he was kind of an even worse monster himself at the timeand few skills other than schoolyard brawling to back them up, so he'd be very, very interested in this...and would just kind of quietly hope that it doesn't go quite like the other monster-fighting he remembers.(no subject)

Ah I should add while she doesn't recall much of her previous incarnation yet, she is still a competent leader naturally.

DAT SNAKE STATUE
Hackers in this sense aren't computer hackers (though chris can do that too since she specializes in computer flight systems! though not as well as someone devoted to the craft) but rather reality hackers. They do bananas shit like putting police cars on rooftops and stealing a fucking canon from fucking CalTech without them knowing
Seriously look through that link, it's good stuff.
SO...
Chris is interested in getting a hack group together to BREAK DAT STATUE. She's gonna need people who know how to solve engineering problems. Moving a big statue, while difficult, isn't in fact impossible depending on how the damn thing is secured.
WHAT I WILL NEED: Who has resources and access to the materials needed for this kind of thing? Big cars, hell, even earthmoving/construction equipment, ropes, etc
I would prefer we NOT blow it up unless there's a character who is a demolitions expert. Better idea: is there a river/body of water nearby? Throw it in there. Or, y'know, off a roof/cliff :V
Breaking it apart with sledgehammers is also an option

Euphie here however is working on a bachelors in mechanical engineering. She's also rich. Her father gives her a pretty generous allowance and at least one emergency credit card. If she can help in any way, financially or otherwise, just give me a holler?

I HEARD YOU LIKE RP SO I PUT SOME RP IN YOUR RP
IRL, I am a dungeons and dragons DM. In-game, Bakura Ryou loooooves him some tabletop RPGs, and Chris 1. played DnD in high school and college (in MIT you can't really avoid RPGs, even if it's via their LARP club) and 2. used DnD to help teach Bakura math.
As a sort of cool down / goofy silly plot, Chris will run a game for y'all.
THIS WILL NOT BE A REAL D&D GAME While I'm going to be using B2: Keep on the Borderlands (ye classic dungeon) as a guide, I won't require ANY dicerolling or keeping track of stats (... unless y'all want to, for some reason?). I'll be coming up with a quick handwavey way of doing stuff. I just ask for some "realism": traditional DnD, especially the way Chris runs it, tends to be hilariously lethal.
THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY BE A GREAT WAY TO GET ECHOES. Is your character from a goofy fantasy canon? WELL THERE YOU GO.
I think Aragorn, Bakura, and Yuuya already expressed interest; I'm willing to take up to 7 players ( so that's four slots left).

I want to decide. On one hand, pigeon color vision, which is obscene and would be useful. (Was there blood here? A palm? Various cleansers? A week ago? They all left their own fading colors.) Also he'd sound like he's tripping when he talks about the colors, man.
On the other hand, pigeon lungs (small and no diaphragm) so he's unable to take a deep breath and has to get someone to come to the apartment and have his niece let them in and if you hurt or scare her, and then the next echo (...very soon. For his birthday? Before it?) is of pigeon air sacs and then hey, basically never out of breath and always more oxygenated than you. Force some CR and foreshadow a later thing, though he'll forget about it.
ETA: I wonder if he could get little lungs from a "werewolf" encounter, they don't shrink completely until he gets home, and the air sacs from DnD or something.
