PLOT POST FOR APRIL 16TH

This format of plot post is designed for players to ask questions and find ways to influence the plot. Be bold and ask what you can or can't do; the worst that can happen is that I will say no. As plots in Save the Earth are not self resolving nor on a time limit they can evolve in many ways. Although some potential outcomes are given, they are little more than suggestion and can be changed by character action. What role you take is up to you.

The post is also open for players to plot and coordinate between one another.

Events occurring currently;

• The Thunder Corporation's Snake Statue remains up in the Dead District. The statue exudes a pseudo-Echo effect, which is undetectable to ordinary humans, trying to convince people to leave the area.

• In the same area, starting now, a large number of the huge homeless community within the Dead District will instead be found seeking new shelter. Should anyone question them, they will reveal they are being driven away by 'werewolves.' It is possible to encounter a 'werewolf' by coincidence by visiting the Dead District after dark.

Events occurring in the immediate future:

Suspiciously quiet for now. The invasion forces are currently evaluating their opposition and making preparations. It won't last. Enjoy the quiet before the storm.

Events potentially occurring in the immediate future:

• Destroying the statue is a possibility. Doing so will shoot a pink light into the sky that will last a few seconds and set in motion a chain of events.

• Players may wish to put together a plan to investigate and potentially deal with the 'werewolves.'

Potential Echo Opportunities

The snake statue in the Dead District, and in police HQ, still offer one Echo at a touch. An encounter with a 'werewolf' will result in an Echo and successfully killing one will net one for everyone involved. Destroying the statue won't grant an Echo, but the events it will set in motion will. Canon parallels remain the constant option.

Please direct questions regarding these plot points to the thread below and not the post in general.

/brings a beer, fails completely at convincing you that this is something real adults do, too

ETA: Also hmm, Julien might be suffering from the inability to take deep breaths at the time. Dyspnea? You might want to keep an eye on him.

sigh and there are like 500 things that could be causing that

Aaron will definitely try to determine the cause. Would he be able to figure out that the shape of Julien's lungs had changed?

Yyyyup. I'm kind of thinking it's really bad when it first happens, and... he gets a little better at managing so by then it's like walking much gets him out of breath, but he can sit up and talk well enough.

I think they might sound different. Bird lungs are weird and complex - instead of in out like a bag the air swirls in a particular path! Also Julien's diaphragm not working right might be a clue to something.

...hmm. Yuuya's hero life... I wonder if being told to take a deep breath could trigger something. It's advice he's given before.

Hmmmm. Okay sounds good! And if you want to trigger that during the examination, that's totally fair.
espigeonage: (💘But it's somewhere quite)

Part of adjusting is likely... not being on the edge of panic. |D It's really scary when you can't breathe well. Not that he'd seem too panicked because little niece is with him and gotta keep up appearances, but...
