So I figure it probably pertinent for those of us with freshly echoed giant robots/horrifying monstrosities/what have you to pick this discussion back up now that we're time-wise on the other side of Wise Snake.

What we do know is that the FBI will try to confiscate the Gundams/Evas to some capacity for the moment, but with the pilots still being able to oversee them, which is good since the Gundams and the Evas are locked to their pilots in one manner or another, but how is this to go about? That's mostly a mod question I'd suppose.

Really, I don't suppose any character is going to be in much of a position to stop the FBI from doing this for now, but if anyone is it'd probably be good to speak up~

As far as Neil is concerned, as the oldest of this motley crew of pilots, he's going to try and take some responsibility for the younger ones. (re: all of them) He would be trying ASAP to speak with the FBI and/or National Guard to try and leverage his military history and "hey we just saved the city" to get some cooperation. Which is the key thing - for right now, he's going to want to cooperate with the FBI if they're the ones overseeing the mecha.

But now that we've had some more experience with everything, does anyone else have any intentions? Plans? Figuring out where these weapons of mass destruction get shoved is probably vital for any of us doing much of anything, so it seems like a good thing to discuss!

If some of the Gundam pilots are amenable to it, perhaps they could aid in moving Asuka's Eva unit!

The FBI will try to convince her to leave her Eva unit behind, but since she's putting in all the brakes, they'll concede this battle and question her near her Eva.

They'll want her to leave the unit behind after that, though. Agents will likely want the pilots to stay at one location (like an appropriated hotel or something) not only for their own track-keeping, but for these alleged claims of being targets. However, they will not force the issue. If the pilot wishes to go home, they may. They will, however, be followed and monitored by the FBI.

Is Asuka still going to refuse to leave?

Where's the hotel in relation to where they're keeping the robots?

It will eventually occur to her she has to sleep sometime, and she's not going to do it submerged in weird oxygenated goop. She'll insist on being kept nearby initially, but will accept a hotel room as long as she can "keep an eye on things". And it has a shower.

If they do move the Eva without her permission/going along, she'll request to go back to the University, which she'll use as an opportunity to make a mad dash for the media with all kinds of outlandish charges against the FBI. The Feds, being generally trained in psychology, will probably be able to anticipate that cunning plan. Hopefully for Asuka they'll decide keeping her near her robot is less trouble than keeping her mouth shut.

The first location of the robots will still be in the Business District, so the hotel would be rather far away from it. Certainly not walking or running distance. The second location, the University, would be closer -- the hotel perhaps a ten minute drive by car?

If they're moving them to the University, Asuka might just ask to go to her dorm. She won't object too strenuously to being monitored.

For the initial location, Asuka might demand a shower and then attempt to camp out, unless maybe Neil or Eugen wanted to persuade her that the Feds can't move her Eva quickly without them.

The FBI/Guard won't be giving her that shower, sorry to say.
